No? You need the device for your own region. A US device for US 3DS, a EU Device for a EU 3DS, etc.
Ah shit. Alright.

FWIW the devices are identical, the codes are what are different. If you bought one (and need the other) you can apparently email Datel and they will sort it for you.
Thank you. Hopefully I can just get my money back from amazon. Can you order an american power saves straight from datel?
That I don't know. I purchased from Amazon on got the US version. But seriously, there is no need to exchange the hardware. It is literally the same regardless where it comes from. The code is what is different. Contact datel and paste your code into the email and tell them you need it exchanged for the US version.
No sense returning and re-buying... unless you REALLY want to.
I literally just ordered it a few hours ago, so it's not too much of a hassle. Thanks though!
Is there a big difference between this and the "Powers Save Pro" that is coming out soon? Apparently the power saves pro has pokemon codes?...
From what I read it is the exact same thing, just repackaged. The codes are no longer pre-loaded. They are ALL pulled from a server. It is certainly possible that a new hardware (the pro) pulls some exclusive codes from their server. We won't know until it releases. AFAIK it has yet to release and keeps getting postponed. I ordered one at gamestop and then bought on on Amazon. I will probably keep my order (unless they keep postponing it) and see if it's different. If it isn't I'll likely return it or sell it here.
Alright. Gamestop says it's coming out tomorrow so I'll wait a bit to see how good it is. Thank you.
I know right. I just got my powersave today. They better not do bc what about the people who didn't buy the pro version... it better not all be about money. If they are only putting them on the pro version then thats bullshit
When I talked to the guys at gamestop they said that the 14 would be the day it ships (everywhere). He said that meant they likely wouldn't have it in store for at least a week or two after that. Not sure if that matters to you, just an FYI.
There were two different DSi action replays last gen. For some reason on the last firmware update or two Datel gave up support on the first action replay and made an entire new one. A whole new model just for the last firmware of the DSi.It is amazing how so many people are getting upset at speculation. Haven't Datel already said the hardware is exactly the same? Even if they were to use different software nothing to stop you running both surely? I personally believe they were taken down because of likely pressure from Nintendo and expect there is a good chance we will see them again once they're available in game. I think this would also make sense as to why there has been no code updates for a while. If you are in discussions regarding what codes you can and can't keep, you would not continue to make codes whilst doing so.

If they can go as far as doing that I have no doubt this is a similar situation, I'm holding back on the torches and pitchforks till we get confirmation from a user with a pro device.
This is a product being sold at Gamestop, their retail partner. Nintendo doesn't want to piss off one of their business allies trying to scrub one of Gamestop's more profitable accessories. The DSi action replay even used a flashcard like game spoof using copyrighted nintendo code * and Nintendo never bothered to block it like they did other flashcards.
There may also have been a lawsuit in earlier days concerning cheat devices and Nintendo lost, but my memory is foggy on that one.
*3 2 1 ... and that lawsuit never came of course
