If you want to complain about this, go see the people in #dsdev and #mellowdsdev on efnet.So... create a new IRC room? Not saying that the guy isn't a prick like you claim but really fighting over an IRC rooms ops and cancelling projects over it furthermore doesn't seem a bit silly to you?
There are only a few "dev" channels and StoneCypher is in control of all of them (last I checked). There is a lot of the backstory that you fail to understand. This isn't some little IRC tiff, because if it were, DSOrganize would continue on. Don't speak about what you lack facts for. No, I will not share these facts. That's up to the author and those parties involved. To be honest, I hope they all don't decide to air their dirty laundry. The scene has already suffered enough damage.
I agree with you, but since people generally lack facts about this they're going to speculate... and wildly at that. It'd have been more constructive of Dragonminded to have left without a big fucking emo rant on his blog about shit that probably has little to do with actual development of DSOrganize anyways. Since when has development EVER required IRC communication or rather should I say... idling. I question the guys maturity level starting drama with...

He quit over IRC drama? What a fucking cry baby.
Hey, here's a fucking hint.
/quit
Wow, that was tough. For someone developing such a popular app for the DS, he certainly gets riled up by useless banter. What a fucking pussy. If he goes on in life as a programmer and one of his bosses say 'This application doesn't work on this machine, and you suck for not making it work.' Is he going to cry about it and quit? There are other places out there other than IRC for reference and help, even if one needs to resort to IRC for help, there's always the /ignore command.
I'm amazed that someone quit 'the scene' over something so trivial and mundane. How pathetic.

Dude what have you done for the scene lately or even at all? I u nderstand what your saying but did you have to say it like that. So stick to criticizing the homebrew not the maker cuz criticizing a homebrew you couldnt even imagine creating is all your ever gonna do.
In my profession shit like this happens all the time, and if you can't take it and break down you don't get any more work. Now with me it's a competitive field and people like him are weeded out very early in the game. It's only because there are very few hobby coders with any real talent out there in the scene - people with talent generally speaking have jobs and don't bother hobby coding because it's what they do for a living. Those few that do don't get all pissed off about any interpersonal issues to the extent of dropping any single project let alone out of an entire "scene".
I'm not asking for dirty laundry or anything personal, but everything you've said makes this sound like nothing more than IRC Drama, despite your claim otherwise.So... create a new IRC room? It's awesome for reading scanlated manga, managing files and downloading games from Wifi on the go.Some one tell me what was good about DSorganizer? I just liked drawing pics...not good for anything else really...
Games I downloaded from DSO never worked...
It worked well for me and it was a great feature. DS Organize is more than an organizer. It's great for playing media, too. Manga & mp3s ftw!I used IRC out of neccesity awhile back when my http well was running dry. I hated the experience in those channels.
It reminded me of going into a strange bar in a small town. When you walk in the door everyone is staring at you. You try to be friendly and noone responds until you do something they don't like. Then, they act like AHoles and when you tell them to go F themselves they kick you out.
Now, I have drilled new http wells and don't even bother with IRC.
IRC is good for getting what you want quietly and leaving again. It's not good for talking.

DSorganize was meant to be an organizer. Well, just think of it as an, hm, organizer... and a pretty good one too. If it's not your intention using an organizer then just don't care about this homebrew
