ANOTHER LAWSUIT? yep. First Daz, now:

Two gamers are planning a class action suit against Take-Two and Rockstar after complaining about not being able to play GTA Online when the game was released. Brian McMahon and Christopher Bengston are accusing Take-Two Interactive Software and Rockstar Games of "false advertising" and unfair competition laws in California, because they weren't being able to play Grand Theft Auto Online when the game was released. This government shutdown is really giving Americans a heightened sense for smelling MONEY.

I shall have to read further but "because they weren't being able to play Grand Theft Auto Online when the game was released". I thought they made it quite clear that was not going to be the case.

Now I need to think up some way to blame the people that got in a tizzy about Mass Effect 3.

yeah i'm pretty sure that they quoted that GTA online was going to have bumps in the road...but they are most likely suing because it wasn't playable on day one. and it took a few days for rockstar to give a public message about when It would be playable. (it went active much later) They're suing because GTA onlline was advertised as part of the game but wasn't playable as advertised on day one this is ridiculous, and petty and they know it. Probably running out of government money, were browsing TMZ and saw Daz was suing and they thought..HEY...why can't WE sue these billionaires and be set for life??

I think Rockstar could give away a couple of days of Xbox Live as compensation for the connection problems, but other than that I don't see how players suffered from GTAO's start-up problems, atleast financially...

They should also sue them for the amount of sex and swear words they put in there.
Justifications?
1.) Both esp the latter makes the dialogues more useless and uninteresting
2.) The former has made its missions seem childish as if they're forcing (rather enforcing) it on you
3.) The game becomes very monotonous when every mission has this as it's 'entertainment' value

What do you mean? I appreciate R*'s gesture, but it won't give me access to Live.

well technically Rockstar gave everyone 500,000 with the POST ONLINE experience. (characters being lost, cloud errors etc)..AFTER ONLINE was turned on

these gamers "demand" compensation for the game launching without online being available yet the game was advertised it would carry online features. Now granted before online was available it specifically said that it would be active the beginning of October. But they are bitching because it wasn't online ready at day one. So they claim false advertising. Technically they are kinda right. But I hope to god this petty as shit obvious money grab is obvious from the biggest company who launched the biggest game to date "lawsuit" gets laughed out of court or they get slammed with a slander or defamation lawsuit from THEM :tpi:

Good luck with that I don't think they will get anywhere as the game sold to them was GTAV, GTAO came later as a free optional update so they are not out of pocket.
R* owe them nothing and I bet their lawyers are slightly better lol!
Also online features doesn't always mean online MP!

I'm pretty sure some of the minor online features like that Life Invader crap still worked didn't it? Meaning it has always had online features...so, no case.

So this is what People waste their lives on,STUPID BULLSHIT.
Sue a company because of a game that you lazy fucks couldn't wait till online gets up.
What a waste of time and effort, because fuck every other problem because your shitty little rage to go online means everything.
