This is the WiiFlow Log. The only difference between this and the working machine is that the working machine does not have the line "WiiFlow is in real nand mode" and I haven't a clue why the two machines are different.

Welcome to WiiFlow (Beta 4.1.3-r906)!
This is the debug output.

hmm. It seems wierd to me that the one that IS working has BC v5 and the one that's NOT working has BC v6. Usually v6 FIXES problems. Anyway, not having the "real nand" message in one might be because you have a different version but the version number at the top should have been different, too. Maybe you could try a different loader like DM(L) Booter and see if that helps. Other than that, unless you mixed up which info was from which wii, I'm at a loss as to what to tell you.

I checked and the one with BCv 6 is the one that's not loading. What is BC ? Maybe I can put BCv5 on the one that's not working. You mentioned the "real nand" .... which version do you mean where you say I have a different version? I will try DML and any other options to anyway. Thanks

The BC is what starts it going into GameCube mode. When you the loader (like WiiFlow) wants to run a GameCube game it goes like this :
WiiFlow calls BC which calls Boot2 which calls MIOS <- ( DM(L) in this case )
v6 is supposed to be the most compatible ... but who knows ...

And the version I was talking about is the WiiFlow version.

Tried using NMM (even though the compatibility chart says NMM causes corrupted save files) and it produced... corrupted save files. :(
Hm. Did you remove the memory card? If you did then try using older versions like 2.2 maybe. I had the same problem (a simple search of "baten" in this thread will show you), but I switched to NMM and everything was fine. Idk about other versions because I haven't played that game in a long time. Great game though.

Ah, thanks for the tip. I'll try that after I finish up with Skies of Arcadia.

Hi Maxternal,

Can you please take a quick look and help? I can't get game cube controller to work with Dios Mios USB. Been at this for days, many hours trying to get this to work. I must have overlooked something. Really would appreciate any assistance. Prilloader states im running IOS v70, Systemenu v481. Do I need to upgrade my system menu? More

Things I have tried:
-Uninstall my wiikey clone ver 1
-installed all d2xcios
-installed RVL-bc-v6.wad then RVL-mios-v10.wad to start off with a fresh GC install and verified my game cube controller works through disc channel with my retail gc game i purchased
-tried usbloader gx versions: R1205_IOS222-249-250, R1207mod01_IOS222-249-250, R1207mod01_IOS222-249-250, R1209_IOS222-249-250 and lastly R1214_IOS222-249-250.
-Moved loader.bin from latest devolution to usbloader_gx directory under apps
-installed devolution to apps (thought perhaps gc controller not working because dios mios may rely on devolution for gc controller drivers)
-Tried DIOSMIOS_2.2 - 2.9 installed with wad manager 1.7 ios 236 & 249
-all on usb:1 /games/ fat32 32kb cluster.

Any ideas? Wavebird gc controller I use works in hombrew, wii & disc channel. Just not dios mios? Any help would be warmly appreciated please.

Thank you

I heard if u play a retail GC disc prior to using DM, that problem goes away. U will have to reinstall your cMIOS. Seems like some config file is updated for GC somewhere when a retail disc is played.

So do i need to boot every retail game i own through the disc channel at least once before my controller will work. I thought that was only applicable to devolution?

@Cantenna No DM(L) doesn't require discs like Devo, wither you need to run at least one GC disc before installing DM(L) for the first time or not is beyond me because I used discs before switching to DM(L) but I hear it's required, anyway try installing a clean Mios again then run a GC disc from the Wii Channel, after that try installing DM(L) 2.9 and see if it works!

Thanks everyone. 'm stumped. My retail game cube game is sonic heroes. Working strictly with the retail disc, If I install Dios Mios any version, and try to start sonic heros (retail disc, not backup) game loads fine but no game cube controller support this is the same with latest beta usbloader gx an DML booter rev30.

If I then install RVL-bc-v6.wad then RVL-mios-v10.wad, I can play sonic heroes no problem as a retail disc from disc channel and usbloader gx.

Been going back and forth all day. LOL!

No dios mios, no problem. Dios mios no controller function.

Please help me. please. Thank you. Should I update system menu? shouldn't have to I thought.

Do I need to compile Dios Mios myself? Is there something different about the pre-compiled version like there missing game cube controller drivesrs? Im using a game cube mem card and creating a save before I install dios mios. Thought the mem card may save a crucial file needed for controller support. Im freakin pullin my hair out :)

Sorry man, I know the feeling. Sleep on it, but DON'T GIVE UP! It's been a common saying around here, thus far I believe everyone that had that controller issue got it to work one way or another.. have u tried different GC remotes, 3rd party, official, Wired, WaveBird?

-No need to compile DM anymore those days are over, they're inferior for the most part compared to what we have now!
-using a mem is a good thing and no the controller has nothing to do with it but it's better to use a memory card for compatibility.
-I really don't know what your issue maybe, I never encountered it myself but I hope someone with better knowledge can help you, anyway don't overstress yourself and don't worry you'll get it working sooner or later!
