I'm replacing a GBA SP housing and I'm fairly confident about the process aside from getting the new screen cover lined up just right on the old screen, does anyone have tips or guidance? From what I can tell looking at the old one, it's just kinda centered with overhang on all 4 sides. Do you just do it by eye? Thanks.

I just did it, think I got it on right but man it's so stressful trying to do this while keeping dust out. Ended up with one tiny speck. :(

If you're not removing the front "window" (transparent screen protector) from the actual screen, it should fit just right with no problems. If you're bothered by the fact that it's about half a millimeter off-center from the casing, you can shim it using some tape, a piece of eraser, or whatever.

Once the cover is screwed back on, the screen shouldn't move inside the case, unless maybe you throw the gameboy at a wall or something =)

i always worry about dust getting stuck inside.

somewhere i heard a tip, about doing it somewhere moist.

go in the bathroom and run hot water for 5 min.
then the moisture in the air will stop dust particles.

The plastic lens pretty much self-aligns in the face of the upper part of the plastic shell. Place the lens in the front half, the LCD in the back (where it is also aligned according to the shel itself) and then put the two halves together.

Dust is definitely a concern. You're more likely to kick dust up from your work surface than anything. I put down an ever-so-slightly damp towel on the work surface and that eliminates about 90% of the issues I've ever had with dust/debris finding its way onto the LCD or lens.
