uneek2o+di is available via ModMii

ModMii can build 8 types of neek:
  1. sneek2o
  2. sneek2o+di (currently unstable)
  3. uneek2o
  4. uneek2o+di
  5. sneek
  6. sneek+di
  7. uneek
  8. uneek+di

the default is to build the neek2o version of neek, to use the traditional neek, you need to disable the neek2o setting on ModMii's options page

edit:
note that uneek2o+di is also known as the neek2o version of uneek+di, similar naming conventions apply to other forms of neek. So basically if ModMii is building "uneek+di" and the neek2o option is enabled, essentially you're building what you and I have been referring to as "uneek2o+di"

So is the neek2o option is enabled by default, I have been compiling uneek2o+di all the while? Thanks :P

Yep. AFAIK ModMii enables it by default.

  • Easter egg hunt is over because Chuck Norris demands it.
And I was just about to donate, too.

:D

Hi everyone!

I'm getting some emails from people asking if they can send me donations. I'd like to reiterate that I am no longer accepting donations for ModMii... but I am particpating in a charity bike ride for MS this September (to support my mother who has MS). If you would like to help sponsor me in my bike ride for MS, send me an email at "[email protected]" for details. Note that all transactions will be processed directly by the MS society webpage and 100% of it will go to the cause.

This is totally unrelated to ModMii, I am just using my "XFlak" nick to spread the word. Thanks!

I'm not that knowledgeable about modchips, but u can use modmii to load your games off of a USB hard drive. If you insist on continuing to load games off of backup discs, after using ModMii u'll probably need to load the disc's via a loader like neogamma (not the main system menu anymore, although I'm not sure if with your modchip u might still be able to). If you want to definitely load games via the disc channel, u can install neocorp or darkcorp (neither supported by ModMii as usb-loading is superior).

So if I set up the Neek that disables the disc drive for games, do I just not use the emulated nand if I still want to use the disc drive? I'm new to nand emulation..

Hi xflak, since I'm not getting a reply in the neek2o thread, thought I'll ask here instead :

1) After getting nee2o+DI to work, can I install wiiware wads normally without using mighty channels? Since there's no HBC installed, how do I install a wad manager?
2) Is priiloader already preinstalled with hacks_hash.ini (I already selected "yes" to installing priiloader during the uneek2o+DI in modmii)? I just need to hold on to reset before the emulated nand starts up?
3) I am using the JPN 4.3 emu nand by default and US games don't show up in the wbfs folder, if I install priiloader hacks will it appear? Or do I still need to bootup to the firmware which corresponds to the game region?
4) Does uneek2o support SDHC cards? Currently I'm using a 1gb SDcard formatted with 16kb clusters and it works just fine..

Thanks..

@roboo, basically yes. Although there are ways to rip discs while in the neek environment, generally speaking you shouldn't need to access the dvd drive often via neek.

you can install WADs using ShowMiiWads or ModMii's emulated nand modifier on your PC. Also, u can install postloader or the homebrew filter to your emunand to use instead of the HBC or u can install the HBC using instructions from here. Also, once u get postloader or some other HBC replacement running on your emunand, u can use THIS neek compatible wad manager if you want (I still prefer editing my emunand on my PC)

2) Is priiloader already preinstalled with hacks_hash.ini (I already selected "yes" to installing priiloader during the uneek2o+DI in modmii)? I just need to hold on to reset before the emulated nand starts up?
correct

not sure, try it out and let me know. I know that using postloader it is supposed to detect the region of game and the region of nands available and load the game using the appropriate nand so it takes out all the guess work.
4) Does uneek2o support SDHC cards? Currently I'm using a 1gb SDcard formatted with 16kb clusters and it works just fine..
uneek2o stores the nand on a USB hdd, not an sd card.
Thanks..

I managed to dump my nand to sneek. But when I try to load homebrew channel, it goes to the hackmii installer screen, and just seems to stop there. On my original wii, it was already installed.

Well I had the same issue, follow XFlak's post if you want it to work.

P.S. Postloader is a better alternative to the HBC. ModMii can install it's channel to your emu NAND.
