Not all slow starters are bad. Torterra kicks ass even though it's 60% snorlax.
Ah but I do quite like Scrafty, he is slower and has lower (though ample) attack but has very nice defenses to pad that out.
With access to tanking moves like Bulk Up, Dragons Dance, Drain Punch, Rest in conjunction with Shed Skin, he can do very nicely and is in OU for a reason.
On top of that, only weak to fighting and flying, immune to psychic, resists dark 4x as well as ghost and rock!

Damn i knew the starters were more or less the same however wish they'd change the types for snivy to grass/dragon like the hack lmao, then i'd probably choose it otherwise Tepig all the way, always been a fire kinda guy since Red.

¿Is real this music? http://www.dotup.org/uploda/www.dotup.org3115094.jpg
That's obviously not music but a screen of the move tutor accepting shards for moves to tutor.

That's good info to have, it looks like there are no coloured shards, just one kind of shard and you need 2, 4 or 6 to tutor something.
If you look at the names of moves on Bulbapedia and check their japanese names we can identify with of the moves cost how many shards.

Now I wonder how you get shards to begin with? They were previously found in the waters of Hoenn, or underground in Sinnoh.

...Ohhh, no, NO NO NO GODDAMMIT
SHARDS BETTER NOT COME FROM GLOBAL LINK.

While we wait for the next several hours, Pokemon trivia!

- Since Pokemon came to be, we've seen 50 Pokemon titles come into existence with the latest introduction of Black 2/White 2 (potentially 51 counting that smartphone thing, but eh).
- Not counting double releases for each gen (Red/Blue, Ruby/Sapphire, etc.), there are 41 or 42 unique Pokemon titles (Gen I was a touch confusing to try to figure).
- Both of the above include console and handheld releases.
- That's approximately 3.125 games released per year since the original release of Generation I in 1996 in Japan.
- In comparison, we've seen 17 Call of Duty games since 2003, including handheld releases and half-assed console releases back when the main series was PC only (primarily CoD 1 and 2). ~1.9 per year.
- Legend of Zelda titles are somewhere in the neighborhood of 26, including ALL titles, since 1986. That comes out to a one game per year average. This includes CD-i, LCD, and G&D releases.
- Since Generation III, we've seen approximately one(/two) mainline Pokemon game(s), whether it be a modified remake or new game, every single year.

Gotta give Nintendo some props for milking the cash cow so heavily, and still being able to hook people with each new release.
