I have a question. I see all these pics and guides saying that the hylian shield is in the game. I beat the game, and i have yet to see the shield and i want it! I know im probably missing a side quest somewhere or something, but i have upgraded the third shield as much as i can (i think). Does anyone have any idea about how to get the hylian shield?

She should be inside of the classroom in the academy.
The stage before the temple of tine where you must ride with the mining "cars" activate the first stone to get in an area of the past drive with the mining car. Then take thr beetle and fly to the other side where an enemy is. There should be a flower

After you beat the third dungeon if you go into the Bazaar in Skyloft and you go to the item salesman (the one you bought [i assume] other shields from) he should have a shield very similar to the Hylian shield, but doesn't have the same name (can't remember it ATM). It costs 500 Rupees and regenerates itself.

Yea currently i have the "Goddess Shield". I believe it is the highest upgrade for that shield. Im thinking maybe there is a quest to upgrade the Goddess Shield up to the Hylian Shield, but last i checked at the bazaar i can not upgrade it further with him.
For the life of me I can't figure out where to go after entering the Lanayru Desert (the part where there's quicksand EVERYWHERE). What do I have to do?

I mean you have it already, the fully upgraded one. That is the Hylian shield. Just like in Wind Waker, it's not called the Hylian shield but that's it. I know because (as far as I know) I've completed the game 100%. All side quests and such finished as well. So...congratz I guess?

Right, that is from a different gameplay demo. Again I say, the Goddess Shield is the Hylian shield in this game. There is no Hylian Shield.
did you get the claw beetle? If not, you need to find the cages. clime on top of one and throw bombs into the closest one. you'll find & hit a timestone. save the robot and it'll thank you with the upgrade. from there just start dropping bombs with your new toy.
In the Earth temple, after you break the wall down with 2 bombs that's by the two pillars, you get into the room with the dragon heads. There's a room with bombs and a platform across where you can't use your ball anymore. What the hell do you do here?!
