and here i thought the wife almost got murdered (near fatal).

misleading title is misleading.

but yeah, at least the cartridge can survive a trip to tumblewash land. too bad for the sticker though, i bet.

Well I thought my cartridge was going to be dead lol.

another testament to nintendo: the first gba I ever owned was one of the clear purple ones. I found it out by my trash dumpster after a rain. I took it apart and dried it out. put it back together and it worked perfectly for years. Too bad the game that was in it was mortal kombat deadly alliance lol.

Sometimes water takes its time before it kills its victim. Corrosion need 4-5 months to short / eat the contacts. If 1 year has passed since the wash, only then you're in the clear. Next time you realise a cartridge has got wet, immediately rinse as good as you can with distilled water

I washed and dried my GBA SP about 5 years ago. It still works, even now. Nintendo used to make hardware that lasted forever*

*I've gone through 4 DSs due to hinge failures.

I've had an Original DS, a DS Lite and now a 3DS, and I've had no problems with the hinges at all. What the fuck are you people doing with them? You aren't supposed to snap it backwards you know, you fold it the other way.

well, the original DS had a crappy hinge, there's no denying that. You most likely didn't use it as much as your lite when you got it, and the white and black original ds lite was made of a cheap and easily breakable plastic.
And really? "You aren't supposed to snap it backwards you know, you fold it the other way." that's just blantly calling people stupid, don't do that. We all know that it's not supposed to bend backwards Mr. Troll

Something like this never happened lol. I dont go around with the cartridges in my pocket o.O.

I dropped my Gameboy Color from 9th floor once and it worked just fine. The battery springs got messed up, but NOTHING was broken
