Found Problem!

Can't update from DSi 1.4.1 U (Use file ak2ifw_update_3ds21_DSi143.nds)

CHIP ID: 0fc2 HW:8181 ..........

I can't press "START" or "any other keys" -> stop at -> Update is canceled, reboot DS

Already update to 1.4.2 (ak2ifw_update_3ds_v2_DSi.nds) Chessmaster

If the game icon does not show "Dorasu", then you're not on the latest Acekard firmware. Chessmaster is the firmware compatible with DSi 1.4.2. Alex Rider is compatible with DSi 1.4.1.

Just updated mine on a DS lite, now shows the "hello kitty..." from dorasu stuff, works flawlessly.
First time I tried to update the card, the updater froze at 0% (update takes less than 20 secs), so I shut down the DS, and after deleting the file, copying it on the sd and running the updater again, I ran it without problems.

I upgraded my Acekard and DSiXL to 1.4.3 and now entering the Acekard, the screens just turn white.

Someone told me that my Acekard is probably of the revision HW44.

So...

Can I restore my acekard and DSiXL to the previous firmware?

...or I have to wait for a new Acekard update, than upgrade it on someone's else DS?

...can I even acess Acekard in a non 1.4.3 DS or I just bricked it??

I have a simple question, I have a 3DS updated with 2.1.0-3E. Can I buy a Acekard2i and put into the lastest AKAIO on it? and just plug and play on my 3DS? Or do I need a DS or Dsi to update the acekard?

It all depends on where you bought your card (your supplier). Some update the cards to support latest firmware versions and others don't bother with that and give you a card with any firmware version (depends a lot on what version was shipped on the card and when it was shipped etc).

You can always ask if your supplier is willing to update the card for you or what firmware versions it supports (they should know). Also, bring your 3DS with you so you can test it out.

But to answer, you can not update your card yourself as chances are the flashcard hasn't even been updated so that the 3DS can even read it.

As far as I'm concerned, HW44 AK2i's will be issued a fix for 1.4.3 to stop the white screen problem soon. Although there is no official statement from Acekard saying this, the team is usually loyal to its customers.

Hypothetically, the card should still boot on DSi 1.4.2 and below and 3DS 2.1 and below but I don't have one to confirm this.

Well, after getting with a friend, the last 44-compatible update will work on a DSi with 1.4.2... but won't work on a 3DS with any firmware. At least, mine won't. Even when mine was fresh out of the box with 1.0, it refused to boot it.

I might have a DStwo now that is compatible, but I've been looking for a solution for my trusty Acekard since.

Hi all, i have a problem in updating my Acekard (HW81) to the new firmware. My 3DS is still not updated, so my card works on it now. I'm trying to upgrade from the 3ds, using the DSi upgrade file, but when i try to, i get the "Update is cancelled, pls reboot DS" message, and i am not able to press anything. Pressing Start as per instruction doesn't work. What can i do?

Try temporarily using the non-AKAIO firmware (old version 4.23) to run the update file. Switch back to AKAIO when you're done.

And once again, mines not working. I've updated my "once bricked" cartridge through a DS Lite and it updated fine and ran well on the DS Lite, but when trying to boot up on the 3DS, my 3DS doesn't even register a cartridge being there. Any ideas on how to solve this issue? I've updated it to the latest AKAIO firmware as well.

just an update.. you can update this with 3DS as long as you havent updated system firmware.
