I got my R4 a while ago. I have tried my animal crossing rom, but it lags. I have a high quality sdhc card I am using as well. Also, how do I use moonshell and skin it? What are some good homebrews I can use, as well as games.

Saves are created automatically when running a ROM. Dumping ROMs and Saves from your own carts is a little more complicated. There are lots of tuts online and on this site. Just do your research.

emulators are fun. I like the standalone mame ROMs (1942, 1943, Pac and others), NeoDS is awesome, nesDS is goog fun.

It lags because of the SD Card. See before I had a Sandisk SDHC 2GB card and it lagged at some places and actually quite frequently on Pokemon Black. Afterwards though I went back to the PNY SDHC 4GB card I had and all the lag went away. Just go to your local Staples or Bestbuy and grab a "PNY SDHC 4GB SD card" and the problem will be fixed.

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it. -
