The graph may appear sloping down now...

But when the massive titles like OoT, Mario, Pokemon and other highly anticipated third parties such as RE and MGS come out (together with the browser and eShop), expect a change in the graph.
The thing is, every game has its haters.
While the graph may reach the peak with a game like pokemon, we will also get equal amount of haters moaning about how shit pokemon is.

But anyway, its just the launch. Whilst the game libary is increasing, newcomers to the 3DS will have an advantage over the people who have it since launch. WE felt we didnt get enough, new users however are gonna get big load at the same time. Result? Satisfaction with the 3DS!
About 80% of those haters are fanboys I suppose (at least for Nintendo's first party games)
But I agree, every game has it's haters. Look at CoD and the 'hate'!
Anyway, newcomers -> satisfaction with 3DS -> more sales. The graph will change over time.
People hate CoD for is rehashery, genericness, and the annoying mainstream gamers that play it and now take up 50 - 75% of the gaming market (sickening, isn't it?), not because we're fanboys. Now that's not to say it's a bad game and that's not to say all of the people who play it are mainstream or annoying, though.
LOL. don't get me wrong! I'm not saying CoD haters = fanboys.

The 3DS got into a bumpy start, but definitely it will not lose out in the handheld market (especially end 2011). I'm looking forward to more on the 3DS.

The 3DS had a semi-slow start, so what? Yes, it didn't sweep the market and push Nintendo's production to the brink like people thought it might, but come on people, it's barely three months in. I will say Nintendo made a mistake not including at least on big name at launch, but I actually don't mind that either. It gave me the chance to try out other, less interesting but still fun games, and instead of having to throw down a crap tone of money all at once I get to spread it out. Got SSFIV and Pilotwings, that kept me interested for about a month, now I have Dead or Alive and that should be more than enough to keep me occupied until OoT3D. Not to mention the e-shop opening.

And people complain about the e-shop not being at launch, people seem to forget that Nintendo's DSi/Wii Ware shops weren't online at launch either. And this isn't Nintendo just reusing the old system, they were making a new one. Logic would dictate that the same that happened with the Wii/DSi would happen here.

Also, nobody should have any right to sue Nintendo for eye issues. In fact they should thank Nintendo for finding them. Remember the news article a while back from eye doctors saying that not only was Nintendo being a little too over cautious with the warnings, but that they 3DS could be used to detect eye defects that are otherwise hard to find. If a kid is playing the 3DS and is having a hard time seeing the 3D then that's a sign to get their eyes checked cause you may be able to catch issues earlier and begin corrective treatments when it'll help most.

SSIV and pilotwings kept me busy for like a minute , 3ds only saving grace launch title was samurai warriors.(still havent fully beaten)and if i remember right dsiware was at launch and if not it was only delayed a week. if anything the e-shop should have been out right away if they werent going to have amazing launch titles as i would have spent 40$ on 3ds ware and would probably be playing shovelware right now instead of posting on 3ds threads and bitting nails waitingfor something to do with my 250$ dust collector.

No console/handheld ever has a perfect start. Lets look at the 360 launch. What did we have? KAMEO! It was a fun game, but people were expecting Halo and other 360 exclusive stuff.

With the 3DS, people were hoping for Nintendo Exclusives, at least 1 of them. If we had Mario Kart, Wario, or any of those, it would still be a better start.

You know what, I'm actually kinda glad that the 3DS didn't really have a nice start thanks to giving 'chance to third parties'. Why? Cuz so many third parties are coming soon and I'm really excited about them.

Together with Mario, Zelda and pokemon, the 3DS will really shine later on.

I thought Ninty didnt release their AAA games during launch to support 3rd party developers?

If you think about it, they're making the 3DS's interest to live long. (Like, 3rd party devs are happy, they make quality games, everybody happy. lol)

They wanted to 'give third parties a chance'

Apparently the third parties weren't really complete with their work. And those completed were 'rushed'... Seriously, if games like splinter cell were not rushed, they would actually be perfect. (even running with the unreal engine)

I expect to see top-notch third party support coming soon... Especially from capcom and square enix. We can also hope from sega and konami too.

Oh and ubisoft will have an AC game for the 3DS. since it isn't rushed, I would expect it to be of far better quality... Hopefully not crap again

3DS only makes the PSP more interesting for me. At least doesn't have 3d output and it has a better control.
No offense but, I find the 3DS much easier to control than the PSP.

Chris, you don't have to say "no offense" all the time, there's no need for it.

Second, I think the PSP has the better control due to placement of the buttons, but that's just my opinion.

Than again, the the placement of the analogue nub is so much better than the PSP.

I'm very disappointed by Nintendo.. The should release at least 2 or more famous titles by now..
Right! So you buy a book by its author and title? Not reading the summary?

SNES control + Analog Stick Vs GameCube control. How the fuck you gonna play a 2D game with that tiny D-Pad and in THAT position?

I have to say that I pretty much agree with this: COD (and its imitators) have pretty much destroyed the FPS as it once was.

i don't really mind
i can select any button i want without seeing it so i won't miss it because of some changes
also in 3ds games you can still use the analog.
