Hello guys !!!!

I've modified the sources of Narolez Nforwarder58 , to add my custom splash pictures , and change the paths (now it only looks in SD:apps/wiiflow and USB:apps/wiiflow).
And of course i've injected the dol in all my forwarders , here they are:

- Carbonik = http://benjay.free.fr/wiiflow/carbonik-Nforwarder58-WFBJ.wad
- Green = http://benjay.free.fr/wiiflow/green-Nforwarder58-WFBG.wad
- Orange = http://benjay.free.fr/wiiflow/orange-Nforwarder58-WFBO.wad
- Violet = http://benjay.free.fr/wiiflow/violet-Nforwarder58-WFBV.wad

Once again , many many thanks to Narolez for this great piece of software , it's very fast !!!
And it's compatible with FAT and NTFS partitions !!

Go to WiiXplorer google code source page and download it's libogc package.

Or, even better, get the portlib from devkit on Sourceforge

You can download R254 from the wiiflow google page...

WiiFlow 2.2 r254
Pip, download wiitdb, and it will use a red box again. We've already added the hardcoded boxes back in the code.

Noticed something, I popped in a disc for Rock Band: The Beatles and launched the disc from inside WiiFlow. It does indeed load from the disc as it should, but it won't recognize SDHC storage format. If I launch from the disc from the Wii menu, it will and I can use the songs I have stored on there. Also, when I re-enter WiiFlow, my 'last played game' is Rock Band: The Beatles, since I have it ripped onto the FAT32 drive. I play off the disc however to be able to access the DLC on the SDHC. Does it launch the DVD game using either the ripped game settings, and if none are available, the default settings and therefore a cIOS instead of the standard IOS? I'm not sure specifics about all this, so I'm not even going to postulate any further, just pointing that out. Summary coming up now....

1) Will I be able to use an SDHC card for DLC in the near future when playing from HDD?

2) Will I be able to use an SDHC card for DLC in the near future when playing from a disc launched from within WiiFlow?

3) What kind of time frame are we looking at for NAND implementation so I can run the game from the HDD and keep the DLC on the HDD, also?

I realize 3 is probably a more long-distance time frame, but was curious since it would remove the need for the SD card being used for DLC, and allow me to stop using uLoader for Rock Band 2, since I can keep my DLC on the NAND on the hard drive with that. Thanks for all the effort you all are putting into keeping this such an amazing loader.

schroder08: Wiiflow launches discs on whatever cIOS it's running on. Run Wiiflow with Waninkoko's cIOS rev20 base 56 and it should recognize both your DLC on SDHC and your USB instruments. I don't have an SDHC card to confirm, but I know the USB instruments work for sure.

Hope this helps. Try it and post the results.

You rock! Installed cIOS r20b56, tested both by launching disc and by playing from HDD and both the Rock Band: The Beatles and Guitar Hero 5 recognized (and loaded) songs from the SDHC. Sadly, it wasn't able to change the programming of Rock Band 2, so that's still limited to standard SD cards and NAND backup once that's finished and released, but that would have been some sort of magical thing right there if it had. So, again LeeSD, thanks!

Is it me, or is WiiFlow running a bit chunkier on that? Perhaps I should keep that in my 250 slot to run the music games from and then my previous version in 249 (backed up my previous 249/250 to WAD format, so that's doable). Always hard to find the best mix of cIOS settings to make things run perfect, eh?

Yes. Wiiflow is a lot smoother with cios rev19. We can't help that...

What do you mean by "chunkier"?

i'm not answering for him, but i wiiflow was running chunky for me too. i had upgraded from 1.1 and noticed a big difference in snappiness. scrolling through games was sort choppy. this was launching wiifflow with 249 base 56 and 57. then i switched to hermes and the animations are now a lot smoother. i think that's what he means.

Nando's got a pretty good explanation. The games don't scroll as fast / smooth, for example. It was running smooth on cIOS r19b38, so I'll do that for my 249 and keep r20b56 for the 250 slot, use that to launch the music games, see how that works. That way the main bit of WiiFlow will run nice and smooth, and on the games that need the r20 it will be available.

None of you ever thought of giving a shot at the 222 version ??

I installed Hermes' cIOS 222b38 and 223b37 both v5.1 and since then I never had any problem with WiiFlow. Use 222 for any normal game, and 223 for any game that needs anything usb; mic, guitar & etc,...

In any case, if you don't wanna change your setup too much, you can always go to option pages, and select adjust wiiflow on the 2nd page. Go to Tweaks and lower the 1st option. It should speed up a lot.

I think I used to use either 222 or 224, then several months back I was asking about cIOS and WiiFlow versions and at that time, and this was the response I got...

QUOTE(schroder08 @ Jul 3 2010, 12:25 AM) Why do you prefer the 249 version of wiiflow over the 224 then? Just curious.
249,250 is tons faster than 222,223,224 in wiiflow. This is because there are various parts of code that have to sleep to allow hermes based ios's enough time to load certain modules. Also, while we are on the speed subject, *.wbfs also runs faster than *.iso.

Now, I will def. point out that this is from July 3, so that's maaaaany many revisions ago and I expect everything is running a lot smoother for the Hermes based stuff, since you're running it nice and smooth. Anywho, that's why I stuck with 249, mugotu recommended it (at the time) and I haven't found a need to change from it.

Mugotu is still right, but you have to combine this knowledge with the fact that we prefer rev19. The reason is that rev19 is smoother than rev20b. I don't know why that is, it's just a fact.

I do have to say that the performance on Hermes is also very good. The delays Mugotu mentions are only when loading ios, or reloading ios. It's not something done every second, or every few seconds. That's why you will hardly notice any performance difference just looking at that.
