The only almost useful thing to translate on this game are move names/descriptions and some unknown items. Story, names and all that crap is just useless, specially since pokemon has always stories for 5yo kids
Haha good job, I actually laughed at this. All I really want are moves and names of Pokemon, it's hard to tell what things do with new attacks and new pokemon.Searinox said:"hey let's translate pokemon to english" "why? half the people I saw posting in pokemon threads can hardly spell"

Are you serious? Maybe they're just mature people that understand the difficulties of ROM hacking =\
I agree, you can tell what most attacks are by power and animation, but Serebii doesn't yet have up the leveling movesets, and I can't tell the new moves yet.AstralFunBunny said:It's not that hard to keep track of your moves just by checking on serebii or what have you to see what moves your pokes will be getting and when though. Plus you can look at the move to see if it's an attack or not.
Heaven forbid pen and paper make themselves useful again.
Mantis41 said:What do you need a translation patch for? My 6 year old seems to be getting through the game alright. He never reads anything anyway.
I tried it last night and got stuck in the room for a couple of minutes until I realized a need to open the present. I deleted the save game and gave it to junior this morning expecting him to cry for help. I heard nothing and checked on him later and he had already completed the first gym battle and was heading north. When I asked him how he knew what he was doing he replied, its the same as the other games I have played. I'm not sure where he is at now but he is still playing and seems happy so I doubt he is stuck.
Yeh! I had to laugh. Beaten by a six year old. I asked him about the present and he was like Duh! Dad, that was the first thing I did in like 2 seconds, how else would I have got my first pokemon.Andrecito77 said:Mantis41 said:What do you need a translation patch for? I know right?! I did the same thing. I spent about half an hour in that darn room....
So yeah what we need is a basic item, pokemon, menu, battle translation no script.
