Montgomery County Police Chief J. Thomas Manger told reporters Wednesday that a male suspect entered the building and waved a handgun at approximately 1 p.m. Manger would not confirm how many shots, if any, were fired inside the building.

"We have no reports of injuries at this point," Manger said. "At this point, we're still negotiating with him."

Goodness! I do wonder why someone would go so far as to hold hostages, or protest against the Discovery Channel at all, really. Religious reasons, perhaps?

My thoughts exactly. If he's raging at Discovery hard enough to bring a handgun and put people's lives at risk, I really doubt that he is functioning at full mental capacity. I hope this doesn't take a turn for the even worse.

Now if he was protesting the Science Channel, that would be different. He would have my support.

They need to change the name of the Science Channel to the "How It's Made Channel"
them and their dammed oversized channel logo and non-stop banners covering 1/3 of the screen.

I watched this pretty much all day today...
He was protesting because he wanted the Disc' Channel to stop airing shows about giving birth because he wants women to stop reproducing babies to overpopulate the earth.
