I just moved, and when I packed away all my games apparently RDR fell out of its case somehow, when I opened the box I found it shattered at the bottom ;_;.

The Xbox 360 I play on is my bros, I really don't want to try taking it apart and placing some crap in it, then end up either just breaking it or getting him banned from XBL.

Is there ANY way to play a burned copy of a game without any modifications to the system? I don't want Xbox live, I don't even want any games but Red Dead Redemption, I'd just buy it again but I simply don't have the cash.

When searching on YouTube or Google, all I keep getting are ads for sites you have to pay for, and that probably end up bricking your system or some crap. I just want this one game.

I have a DVD RW dual layer 4.7GB disk, so I hope that will be plenty big for RDR.

THANK YOU!

I'm pretty sure there is no way to play burned games with a no mods xbox.
And that DVD won't work anyways, you need a dual-layer DVD.

I thought it was dual layer.

I'll just buy some if I need to, they're not that expensive, and it beats shelling out another $60 for software I already payed for.

Edit: Also, if I absolutely have to make a mod to my bros xbox, are there any that don't require doing something physical to the hardware? Hacking my Wii was so awesome since I didn't need to take it apart or do anything to it physically.

Cheapest thing you can do is buy another one from eBay. If you want to play a copied game, you need to open you 360 up and flash the DVD drive which can mean buying extra stuff for just one game. Plus, most likely you'll be banned from LIVE. It's not worth it for just one game, you'll just have to buy it again.

if there was a way to just burn a game onto a disc, why would people flash their xboxs?

Get gamefly. Free trial for a month or something. That will tide you over until you work up the cash for a new copy. You can even buy a new copy from gamefly for a discount.
