probably a stupid post but i'm going to ask anyway although the supercard can play gba games i would like to know if you can link up with other gba games together to play two player games.
if not not is there a chance to make something like that possible.

something just came to me now that the gba games can be played on slot 1 on the ds it might be a waste of money but the supercard team if they wanted can make a slot 2 piece to connect gba games and the soon to be snes for multiplayer games.the piece could also help make gba get better compatibility and of coarse snes may need it for sure. yeah i know the purpose of the supercard supose to be to let you play gba games as a slot 1 card (not saying snes because there was an emulator for that)but think about it this way how many people in your family have a ds so why not take it up a step in make some kind of connector.

Nono, he means a slot 2 device that has a GBA Link port on it. Good idea maybe, but the DSi has no slot 2. Odds are it won't be compatible with GBA Mode on a regular DS so there is no point to it.

If anything, the DS2's GBA emulator should be able to use the wireless to create a link. Now that's an idea...

That Idea just came to me before I scrolled down.
That would be epic, for both GBA and SNES Emulator.

Use the wireless this... use the other that... blah blah blah. You have to have the SDK and make before anyone can even try implementing a cable link emulation over the wifi with a user made emulator instead of the one SC provided. Your also still limited to DS wifi since we don't have DSi wifi access. That makes any of you people on a DSi out of luck over the reality that the DSi hasn't been hacked.

Seriously, most of you people got no perspective of where things are before you even consider it as a good idea or not.

Is it a good idea? sort of. Is it possible? only for people with a DS or DSL.

Wifi linking won't work. The latency of wifi to too great to use it for gba multi-player that used a link cable.
Basically, wired connection is faster than wireless. Especially the ds's wireless.
It simiply won't work (Unless you slowed the emulation to match the latency, which would make the games run at best at 1/4th speed. At best.).

I'm not sure if you know what everyone's talking about. They're talking about GBA WIRELESS PLAY, not GBA WI-FI PLAY. The Wi-Fi limitation of the original DS and the fact that the DSi isn't hacked yet has absolutely nothing to do with this.

Thats the same crap. the wireless play is all hardware, a wireless device to layered over the cable link protocol. The official gba specs don't even support a native wireless, it was all 3rd party. I know this crap better than you.

It has freaking everything to do with the DSi, because they are mostly playing the damn thing on a DSi. You can't do damn squat with the DSi wifi. And when do you think that will be. You happen to see a homebrew that uses the DSi wifi? hmmm.

It still doesn't matter. Most wi-fi supporting homebrew work with the DSi as long as it's in the first 3 DS-compatible slots. DSTWOtools for example, it works fine on a DSi. The only reason you'd think that wi-fi homebrew doesn't work on the DSi is because SavSender doesn't work on the DSi, but that's only because the DSi doesn't allow hotswapping games in DS-Mode. Those other 3 slots don't work when using homebrew because they're only available in DSi Mode, but that has nothing to do with what we're talking about. Although I'm not sure if wireless play has been made possible through homebrew.

Also, there are GBA emulators that have full support of link cable multiplayer. If someone was able to implement that, and somehow find a way to link 2 DS consoles together, this would be made possible.

i'm hoping that someone is working on something for wireless play or as i said above some kind of piece to link all ds's together. it doesn't have to be a slot 2 device.all a person would need to do is hook a cart to another cart.

i'm going to give an example the first one i'm going to give game genie for the snes and i believe nes you would hook the game to that just to get codes of coarse we don't need no game genie for the ds so it just an example.the second one would be how they did something like that for sonic and knucles but i'm not going to get into that because other than sonic 2 and 3 its just for bonus stages which i liked.

but all in all if ever done i would prefer the wireless play because cart to connected to a cart to link up would make the ds game stick out but it would be good just to play two player snes on the ds.

It won't be possible. Wireless play with GBA games will never work on the DS. This is because whenever you are wireless on the DS the game will start to lag and since its a GBA game the game wasn't meant to lag like DS games which means the GBA games will just freeze.
