Getting GC games to show up in disc channel is about 10% related in getting them to boot. The info that is displayed in disc channel is gathered in wii mode, while everybody should know that the problem is the GC mode.

And that´s exactly what i meant by a memory fill function shown in debugger screen. And it doesn´t matter to me the fact if that pop-up screen came by using sneek or it didn´t. Clearly seems to be streaming from HDD, which was my main question, cwstjdenobs.

that debug text is not shown by the wii. it IS text that is output by sneek, but it is only output through the usb gecko. SNEEK is not writing it to the screen. what you are looking at is what are knows as "windows". it allows you to display 2 different programs on a computer at the same time.

in this case, there is a cmd window and a program to display the wii's video output.

And BC could be patched to not set to GC speed, because that may be one of the importants steps to get the wii hardware running. As long as crediar doesn't hand out some more infos all we can do is speculate.

there are basicly two way to get that info, either just ask him or wait for him to make a post/statement somewhere.

so the GCLoader fund was now running for one month and obviously nobody is interested in it so I close it for good, all who donated will get access to the GCLoader once it is in usable stage

I could see this turning terrible. The people will get the usable version, it will get leaked out, then crediar will find out about it and refuse to update it anymore.

If this loader requires the use of USB Gecko, then I'll have to get myself one soon. As for donations, he didn't make proper notice of this, so his loss.

ah, so at the end of the day it turned out it wasn't GC USB iso loading itself that was impossible, it was just trying to make it without the developer cracking the sads ;p

Quite alot of people knew about the donation stuff and turned it down as a joke and didn't bother to ask crediar and now they blame him not to beg everywhere for donations.

Giving the donators access to the GCLoader is the fairest thing I think, why should anyone else who didn't do anything get it? And why should those who donated get nothing just because the target value wasn't reached?

Also if you don't like the current situation you are free to make your own GC loader.

So...what is Crediar's donation account? (paypal, I assume?) I'm more than willing to show my credit for him*...but without knowing where to donate, it's kinda hard.

*to be honest, I'm more willing to donate it because of his earlier work (preloader & sneek)...but the result shouldn't be different

Exactly. I've seen this plenty of times with all sorts of developers. They ask for something unreasonable, and when they don't get it, they take their ball and go home.

I'm working on a GC USB Loader. This is a hobby, if you want it done I'll need donations. [Paypal link]
After $100, I'll post a proof of concept video. After $1000, I'll give a private beta to those who donate. If it gets leaked, the project is done forever. If the homebrew community can manage to get together $2000, I'll release it publicly. Keep in mind I developed preloader & sneek. I'm not making stuff up.

it doesnt matter what anybody would have said about this donation stuff. the fact is that most people are just wanting to get stuff for free and bitch when they dont get it. if somebody makes a place to donate and you dont see it, it is his fault for not putting it right in your face. if he does put it where you see it, yuo are too cheap to donate, so you bitch that he is panhandling. the fact is that nothing will make you happy unless it involves you getting to play your stolen games for free.
