I haven't tried Emerald yet but I do know that Sapphire is working great and the RTC keeps time without any issues (even with save states.) I am quite impressed.

Also when you finish playing a game remember you have to fully exit out of the GBA Emulator to the standard boot screen BEFORE you turn off your DS. Otherwise it won't dump the save to the SAV file.

can't comment on its improvements but can say what people say works perfectly is not perfect.

its more like 90% perfect which is still amazingly good. most common issue is frame-rate and button lag which depending on the rom is negligible.

with the introduction of cheats, can anyone explain for a noob what to do?

do we open up the gbatemp cheats list and select the appropriate games and stick them in the NDSGBA cheatfolder?

It's a bit more complicated than that. [I did a little experiment with the Infinite Money Cheat Code. When I formatted the Cheat Code and tried it on Pokemon Emerald Version, it does not work. Now, when I did NOT format the Infinite Money Cheat Code and tried it, it does work.]

1) First of all, go here: http://filetrip.net/f11628-NDSGBA-Cheat-Maker-1-1.html to download Matt140's NDSGBA Cheat Maker.

2) To add or get cheats, go to http://us.codejunkies.com/Departments/DS-and-GBA.aspx to search for some GBA Cheats.

3) Once you have found cheats that you want, open up NDSGBA_CHEAT_MAKER.

4) Press "Add Game" and type in the name of the game (EX: Pokemon Emerald Version)

5) Highlight Pokemon Emerald Version by clicking on it, then press "Add New Code."

6) Input the Cheat Name (EX: Infinite Money) then put the Cheat Code below the name of the Cheat.

7) In this case, the Cheat Code for Infinite Money is:

c051ccf6
975e8da1

,so paste that Cheat Code in the "Cheat Code:" box.

8) Make sure at the "Add Cheat Code...." Menu has "Action Replay 3" ticked in and then press OK.

9) Press "Make CHT File," and type in whatever name you want for it (EX: Raymond'sCHTFile) then press Save.

10) Put Raymond'sCHTFile.cht into the "gamecht" folder of the NDSGBA folder (Get the MicroSD with the DSTWO Firmware on it. Double Click "NDSGBA" and then move Raymond'sCHTFile.cht to the "gamecht" folder)

There you go.

Shit, when did this come out? I completely missed it.
Sweet, I think I had that "crash problem" (on all GBA games I tried, not just one), so I'll give it a try.
Brilliant to see that it's receiving updates... hopefully that should stop people bitching.

I missed it too...And I'm always checking GBATemp front page....And yes I hope this would subside the bitchin too. I'm so excited to see what this card will be able to do in a couple of months or how ever long it takes. I don't care.

The emulator has huge potential but in my opinion it's just not good enough yet to use. I really don't like the way the frame skip looks.

I don't know see why it isn't good enough to use yet when some games seem like they work perfectly.(it really depends on the game you want to play to decide if the emulator is good or not)

But Boktai: The Sun is in Your Hand still doesn't work. Still has the Real time clock problem.

I haven't had a problem with the frame skip. What's wrong with it?

Side note:

Mega Man Zero 2 and Mega Man Zero 3 still have the same problem. Glitchy horizontal lines. Still playable at full speed with sound, no lag that I noticed. Strangely Mega Man Zero 1 and Mega Man Zero 4 are perfect.

Those horizontal lines only show at the beginning of the game? If so, it must be from the game (Zero being weak and all at the beginning).
