I know you can use AR codes or Pokesav to get them, but why does Nintendo bother making the grapic for the Shiny Legendary Pokemon? You can't catch them in the wild so its impossible without cheating to catch one right?

Not including the Red Gyarados

Every pokemon, including legendaries, has a chance of being shiny. Therefore it's possible to catch a shiny legendary pokemon legitimately.

To me, that chance is 0%. Heck, I've been playing Pokémon for 5 god damned years ever since Blue and Yellow Version (7 years old, amazing, huh?) and haven't encountered ANY stupid Shiny Pokémon in the stupid Pokémon world without using the stupid Shiny Pokémonz cheats.

Yeah, I've been playing Ruby and Emerald as well (played almost every version of the Pokémon game). Played Emerald for a year and still have not encountered any Shinies. Caught a lot of Pokémon too.

Yup, and the chances do not increase, meaning that even if you encounter 8,192 wild pokemon you're not guaranteed to get a shiny one.

No, I'm positive that shinies started in G/S/C as I encountered a shiny Weedle in the Bug Catching Contest in the original Gold.
