As it turns out, I guess G-Mode doesn't own the rights to some of the best DE games like Karnov and Atomic Runner and Glory of Heracles (Paon owns those), so maybe the awesome Edward Randy is amongst them

Nice games over there. Played a lot of them as conversions on my Amiga back then.

They left out The Cliffhanger: Edward Randy? What a wasted opportunity.

Didn't know of it! Just got it and played it on MAME. Awesome game, thanks!

IGN gave it a 5/10, and it's really the only review I've seen so far. Link.

Apparently it's presented horribly (bad menus/interface and poorly stretched graphics) and a lot of the games are just junk. I probably won't try, there's much better retro compilations out there.

To be honest about the review.. I dont trust any review.. Some people like their games. The review is just an opinion and not a fact. I dont check the review like IGN and other sites. They have their own opinions and not necessarily meant the game is bad.

The reason I dont like this game because it emulated already on other emulators. I dont want to waste my time purchase it or download it to my dvd-r anyway.

Yes you are correct concerning a review, that is just one persons opinion, that's why i like to read at least 2 reviews, because if both reviewers are giving it the same sort of score then you can get a reasonable idea as to whether you want the item or not.

I don't usually look at the score but I like to read reviews just to find out if the developers put any effort in making a game, like if it has a long single player campain, if there are any graphic issues, long loading times, controls well and multiplayer options.
Then I play the game and I see for myself if I like it or not.
But review are useful if you know how you read them and you know what you are looking for.
If a game has a good production value, and is a product of love with a lot of attention to details then it's worth to try.
Some games are just a quick cash in on a franchise or a movie and are badly ported so it's useful to see what professional reviewers have to say about it, never mind the score though......
This compilation is pretty good, but I like the others , prefer to play this on MAME with the proper scaling and overlay scanlines effect, and the proper aspect ratio........
