I have never used the HBC I only have a D2Pro so could you explain what you did (back on page 191) so I can install the softmods that are necessary. I am not sure how you install the utilities that you are talking about. I know I am a complete noob here but all the soft mod stuff has me baffled.
Sure, I will do my best to desribe exactly what I did.
Step 1) Install HBC (Follow directions here, click the link on the page for "my firmware version is 4.2"
http://gwht.wikidot.com/homebrew-channel)
Step 2) Download and extract Trucha restorer 1.1 to your SD card.
Go to Homebrew Channel and run the Trucha Restorer.
Press B (This will set No IOS Reload). Now wait a while (till the text changes) and press 1.
Choose Downgrade IOS15.
Now you have to choose Download IOS from NUS two times.
It will do its thing and return to the HBC.
Step 3) Run Trucha Restorer again.
Change the IOS to IOS15 and press A.
Wait for the text to change and press 1.
Go to the IOS53 menu.
Make sure it is set to PATCH the IOS.
Change the option to Download from NUS and press A.
Once its done it will quit to the HBC again.
Step 4) Run Trucha Restorer again.
Change the IOS to IOS15 and press A.
Wait for the text to change and press 1.
Go to the IOS70 menu.
Make sure it is set to PATCH the IOS.
Change the option to Download from NUS and press A.
Once its done it will quit to the HBC again.
Step 5) Run Trucha Restorer once more.
Be sure it says IOS36 and press A , then 1 when the text changes.
Choose Restore IOS15.
Change the option to Download from NUS, press A and let the app finish.
Then just make sure that the ISO image that you have of NSMBW is NTSC, and makse sure it is patched, burn it to a DVD-R at the slowest speed, and it'll play fine trough the disc channel. You can also uninstall Homebrew Channel if you don't need it.
