I think you have to use the rev13a of the Waninkoko's cIOS to load the game. Verify if you have installed that one.

That's the right size, I think. Remember that the VC games partitions aren't dumped as well; that's why the game is smaller than the aproximatelly 7,2 GB of it if you dump the game with the update partition, too.
How can I verify whether I have it installed or not? Can I just try to reinstall it? Where can I get it so I can install it? Yes, sorry, I am a greenhorn when it comes to this. I just closely follow guides and try to find the logic behind it (for example, what is an IOS and why do I need to install it?), but I don't think any deeper than that. So, I don't know much about the Wii homebrew scene.

Okay, good to know that this is the right size. I don't need to VC game demos anyway, so that's no problem at all.

Yeah, I think comparing sizes is the only way to know wether the dump is OK or there are some bytes (or MB) missing.

P.D.: no, you aren't. I'm worse than you in that sense, I think... BTW, those demos aren't playable, so there's no need to have (or dump) them,

If you can, extract the opening.bnr and make sure oggzee gets it.

Maybe he's talking about HQ covers? These are possible to download in CFG as well, but if you are running it off of an SD card (like me) it'll make CFG's boxart reading awfully slow.

Make sure the games actually have one. I thought GT Pro Series wasn't working, but then I tried the original disc and it didn't have one anyway.

For Brawl, it can't be ripped or played with rev14. 14 has a glitch with dual layer games. You can install an older version like 13a or 13b, or Herme's cios to rerip and play the game. To install an older version like 13a, just grab the installer and install it. It will overwrite whatever version you have right now.

Still having issues with Ghostbusters and rev14. It doesn't play more than once and will not work with accessories attached. Has anyone actually played this game on rev14? Everyone seems to be fine on rev10/13a, but rev14 is newer than the game.

Ghostbusters has *always* worked fine for me. Probably a bad rip you have...

For those that don't know, the 4.2 update is out and it breaks homebrew, even the stuff already installed on your Wii like the HBC.

DO NOT UPDATE.

However, if you have already updated and you happen to own an NTSC Wii and NTSC SSBB or Lego Indiana Jones, perhaps you can use the other hacks and try running Cfg Loader with "ios=250" set in config.txt. Apparently IOS250 is not destroyed by the update, although it's not fully known yet.

Not only that, but the worst thing about this update is that it overwrites BOOT2. So, if you have been relying on bootmii as boot2 to backup and restore your system, it will cease to function after the v4.2 update. In other words, very bad news. Do NOT update.

I took Hermes cios installer source, modified it to install to 224/225, and linked it in the main 4.2 firmware discussion thread. It is now known that certain exploits still work (Indy, SSBB) and if trucha can still be restored maybe this'll work. Since 222 and 223 are now stubbed in v4.2, using 224/225 may be an alternative. I did not test the compile (because I am not on v4.2 and I don't feel like updating to other slots if I don't have to), but maybe someone with v4.2 can.

If it works, loaders may need to adjust the selectable IOS to use

Ohh, here it is...in case someone is already on v4.2 AND has successfully restored trucha. Again, UNTESTED:

Okay, thanks for the info. Though, I could just install and play Brawl just fine. But when trying to watch a Subspace movie, it freezes.
I'll of course try to install rev13a. But where can I get it? Sorry, I don't really know where to look. And rev13a of what exactly do I need? Of IOS249?

It's directly from an ISO that I loaded, so it couldn't be a bad rip. I've verified the sha1sum of the ISO and it's an official scene release.

Ok, I think I'm diving into the deep end of the pool a little late in an attempt to catch up to you guys...

So forgive the absolute stupidness of the following questions:

- When using Configurable USB Loader, how many times have you guys gone to load a game and have the entire thing freeze up at "loading game. Please wait"?

- In a similar fashion to Gamma and NeoGamma. Is there a way to run a NTSC iso on a PAL console straight off the mark?

I read through the FAQ / bible for USB loaders and neither seemed to answer my questions.

I'm not sure if any additional info is really needed to answer my questions, but please. Any suggestions / thoughts / general input would be greatly appreciated.

Currently having troubles trying to run things like the Conduit, Mini Ninjas, GH5 and Ghostbusters.
They're all NTSC backups trying to launch on a PAL console.

And the general freezing when I try to load a game sometimes happens on things like WSR and Mario Kart etc.
I'm forced to reboot the console by pulling the power cable out from behind the console.

Many thanks in advance, and sorry for sounding like a complete and utter moron

It happens to me all the time with Cod:WoW and sometimes with PES09. I have a PAL console and only play PAL games.

I think it must be from bad quality DVDs or something... There is a message displayed that there was an error, but no error number and all I can do is pull the pwoer cable out...
