Ok well in response to that i remeber in cIOS irc several times him stating that he will be done after rev 14 in terms of cIOS and that he will from then be spending majority of his time on bootmii. But i guess if thats what he posted in irc he must have changed his mind.

So are there any major bugs with rev14 found yet ?

In particular using it with USB Loader GX (latest version), am I right in thinking that settings no longer have to have anti-002 set to ON ?

I and a few others found a bug. SSBB freezes on some video playing scenes. I'm not sure if that's it, but I went back to 13b and will stay unless nand emulation is usable or someone finds out how to fix SSBB.

... lol...

At least use 13. 13b is worse than 13.

Wani showed NAND emulation today and Nicksasa thinks there'll be a loader by tomorrow. There was no point downgrading.

I just wanted to say that Coverfloader wasn't working for me with rev 14. Then I deleted everything in my coverfloader folder and downloaded coverfloader again and put the files on the SD card and then it started to work.

I'm confused on how to install this...all the instructions says to copy the wad file to the root of the sd card and install...I do not see any wad files...all I see is a dol file and I copied that to the root of my sd card but I'm not sure how to install it...

The wad is not included, you need to find it yourself through google or choose network installation. The dol, however, goes into a folder inside the apps folder on your SD card (like "SD:/apps/cIOS_installer") and needs to be renamed to "boot.dol". You can then launch it via HBC.

um... ok. Usually people who are brave enough to flash thier Wii's firmware know what the heck they're doing, so the instructions aren't spoon-feeding anybody.

You need to place the .dol file in x:\apps\anyfoldername, where x: is the root of your SD card. Then rename the file to boot.dol. Then you run it from the homebrew channel.

The WAD for the root of the card makes things faster, if you have that WAD, but you don't need it. When you see the screen that says press left or right or sth on the directional pad to change that to network install.

make folder called rev 14 and the put it in folder called "apps" on root of ur sd card. The put boot dol in rev 14 folder. Go homebrew channel and run installer choose network and let it do it's thing

how do i install this? I put the file on the root of the sd card as it mentions, but i have no idea how to access it on the wii. Add: I tried wad manager as well but I don't think it sees things on the root level of the memory card

You know, this is exactly what I meant when I was saying why I wouldn't share my nand dump. You post it on here and as soon as someone can they'll use it to get you banned.

Don't use WAD manager and your right, its looking for wads in the WAD directory... see below.

http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=6531
Download from here.

instructions:
-copy the folder to the apps folder on your SD card
-rename the cIOS38_rev14-Installer.dol to boot.dol
-optionally (for wad installation), place the IOS38-64-v3610.wad in the root of the sd card. You need to google it, or use the NUS downloader (0000000100000026 and v3610)
-run the installer with the homebrew channel
-select IOS249 (if you dont see it use IOS36, if you get an error on that, search for a guide on how to use the Trucha Bug Restorer)
-follow instructions on screen

Best instructions ever.

Thanks, so the way I was thinking was correct. I just didn't want to do it that way and somehow mess up my Wii due to it. Thank you for helping me clarify

I don't wanna brag... haha... but I have Rev14 running, Configurable USB Loader, and EVERY game works flawlessly, even Brawl!

I just got done with an online match, played 4 levels of subspace, and did 3 classics (full thru).

The only problem, when you play a demo VC title, it dumps you back at the system menu.
