I looked around abit and didnt see this problem listed anywhere else, but USB Loader GX has stopped downloading coverart for me. Everytime I try, it says something like "13 files not found on server", or however many games without box art it's up to now. It was working fine for awhile, but suddenly stopped a couple weeks ago. It also does the same thing when trying to download disk images. Any suggestions?

I was just going to make a thread about cover art problems. I have a critical bug that occurs on my Wii, hopefully someone can help me out here. Whenever I try downloading cover art on USB loader GX it totally cripples all the games on my hard drive. I get a black screen with an error message, I have to power down my Wii, when I go back into USB loader GX it says I have zero games on my hard drive. If I hit the "install a game" button on USB Loader GX the same error message pops up.

I can play games as long as I don't download cover art. What could possibly be causing my hard drive to become corrupted when downloading cover art? I thought everything is written on the SD card. It seems as though it is writing to the hard drive or something. Even WBFS manager says I have zero games when this all occurs. WTF? I've checked my SD card, organized everything by date of modification, and the only thing being shown as modified are the USB Loader GX configuration files GXGlobal.cfg & GXGameFavorites.cfg. If you need more info I can supply it.

Is your whole drive formatted to WBFS, or does it have a FAT partition as well? It might the revision you're using, since it sounds like some changes were made and then taken out recently, because it was causing the problem you describe. Here's what the revision notes say:

Rev 579

*Added a Setting to disable FAT/FAT32 Support for USB 2nd Partitions NOTE: This option is ONLY for those who have problems with their HDDs being detected. With this disabled you shouldn't get weird lists where all Games are the same or no Games at all.

Rev 580

*Reverting the USB FAT Option (was a bad idea, going to search for a better solution)

Personally, I'm still using Rev 550 because I already have all the cover art I need, and will just add any new ones manually. I don't like some of the bugs I'm reading about in the newer versions, so I'll just wait where I am until things get sorted out.

^^ Thanks for the reply. I ended up finding a solution. I updated to the latest revision AND I deleted the three configuration files on the SD card GXGlobal.cfg & GXGameFavorites.cfg (I can't remember the third .cfg file name). I think everything was acting weird because of the .cfg files. When the program starts up again it creates new .cfg files so everything is perfect again.

What bugs are you refering too? I have 582 and I didn't read any bugs to worry about in the change log.

The website that Loader GX used decided to only offer this feature for money.
You can download a ZIP file or find whatever artwork you need here.

You will manually have to put them on your SD card for now, but atleast you will be complete
