Slackware, because I'm an elitist asshole.

Also like Gentoo from what I've experienced of it though.

I used MandrakeLinux back when I was a kid

Tried a lot of distros, but I mostly like Ubuntu. Also tried Mint, but it didn't give me that "quick" feel Ubuntu had, and felt a bit cluttered. Still have to install Jaunty Jackalope, but I'll give it a try soon.

add some lines to some files in somewhere in the confusing directory system, and then open terminal type something "su blah blah and more blah and even more blah" when install a driver... argh... I'd just gave up and thought linux is not newb friendly. Beryl + XGL was a nice surprise though.

My main OS is Windows XP (I'm missing windows2000 pro stability

)

I'm using linux (ubuntu, because it was the first I found) only on WMware in order to test the frefox extension I'm developing. (I hope firefox is working the same way on every different linux).
I don't like the way the mouse move, it seems it's not smooth (I'm too used to windows), and as I don't know anything on the system file, I don't try anything on it. I don't even know what I could try anyway.

As it's a VMware only, there's no need to install any driver manually. It's an easy way to test and discover it.

mouse is smoother than windows, either your VM is causing it to lag or glitch, or you need to go into your linux control-panel and play with the speed & acceleration settings.

ive mainly used Ubuntu and Linux Mint, but i must admit im not using at the moment. i intend to get a distro running on a portable hd this summer though, since setting everything up will take me a while.

i wont reccomend damn small linux though, especially to linux noobs, as it is hard to figure out, and prefers to be used via console it seems.

The large almost clunky distros like linux mint and ubuntu do not get along with less than 512 ram (even giving it a swap space does not help all that much).

ive run most of the major distros on a computer with 256mb of ram, and they do work, but everything on that compy is slow, even win98. SAM linux worked fairly well though.

I have been using OpenSuse (currently 11.1 before that 10.1(from 9.3))for like ages now. im running it on a simple Acer Aspire 1511 with just 512mb memory.

It is an ideal machine for downloading from newsgroups my Klibido runs way way way better then any of the newsclients on windows side.

I play video stuff as well and browsing and such. Never had any bad problems and sure beats the crap out of windows any day of the week.

I use Opera have about 8 to 10 windows open on it by default, run irc and have IM program like Kopete running as well.

My main OS is Ubuntu 9.04. I have used Puppy a lot in the past and I use xwhiite on my Wii. I've never really used DS Linux though, and Linux isn't running on an iPod touch (right?).

I don't really have that problem. I've got only 512 MB of RAM and while Ubuntu isn't blazingly fast, it's very functional and a lot faster than Windows XP (not to mention that Windows slows down for me a lot).
