Hacking NeoRame´s BackupLauncherChannel Wii-ish Update

Hi all

sorry to bother you all but i was wondering if you could help a noob.

i have a wiikey v1 fitted with latest firmware and 3.4e firmware on the wii itself

now all of a sudden in the last 2 weeks, i can hardly get any new games to work

keeps either coming up with error 002 via gecko os or just hangs up with corrupt files on main page

i was just wondering if someone could put up a quick noobs guide to install the fix please

sorry to be a pain but we were all noobs once

I just wanted to confirm a few steps.

I have the choice of using BackupLauncher_03g_Wiiish_v2_EN.wad or BackupLauncher_03g_Wiiish_v3_EN.wad because the only difference is a slightly different design. I heard v2 rocks. Either of these are placed in the wad folder located in the root of the SD card and then executed with the WAD Manager through the Homebrew Channel.

I see there are also 2 other folders called HBC-BL_Wii-ish_EN and cIOS_Installer which is cIOS 36 rev7 from the info in NeoRame's first post. Do I need to use these files? To my understanding, these folders which contain boot.dol files need to be placed in the apps folder. I can then run from the Homebrew Channel.

Please correct me if I'm wrong about any of that information as I'm really trying to understand this stuff. I'm running firmware 3.4u and the Homebrew Channel and Backup Loader Gamma 0.3 currently exist. I'm not sure which cIOS I have installed but apparently I can view that with the use of Any Title Deleter DB v3

A couple of questions:

In what order do I run these 3 things or do I just run the BackupLauncher_03g_Wiiish_v2_EN.wad?

Do I need to run the cIOS 36 rev7 and the HBC-BL_Wii-ish_EN?

Is it important to know what versions of files exist on my Wii?

"Channel pack Wii-ish Style 002 fix" on the very first page contains a HBC version...

So, a channel version is separate channel in wii's menu much like HBC, and HBC version must be run through HBC, am I right?
And btw is it still up to date, I like this gui so I wanted it, but im not sure if its the most recent one. What does autoboot button 1 mean?

Hey, i modded my wii a few days ago with this tutorial hxxp://www.wiiguide.co.cc/. The thing is the tut didnt mention which launcher was installed which has confused me to no ends.
After looking at the pics in your first post it appears i this launcher installed

When i go to the wad manager in the homebrew channel here is what shows:

cios249.wad
ios16-64-v257-prod.wad
GC Backup launcher 0.2 Donkhe - GCBL.wad
Wii backup launcher 03g wiiish v2 EN.wad
cios249-ios36-rev07.wad

The system is a 3.4E, does this look right and is there anything missing that i need. Have i got the newest version installed? Thanks in advance

I have backup launcher channel 0.3 gamma launcher already. Do I have to completely uninstall and start again or can I 'upgrade' to this. Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question but if you don't ask you don't know.

ok, i'm a little gray on what to do here. for instance there a dol file and wad files and as i understand it dol's you run from rge homebrew channel as needed and wads install things. now if i install the v3 channel wad do i still need the dol? and if i dont want a channel can i just use the dol?

How to edit the configurations in the HBC BL so that you can force NTSC or set it so you can play PAL games on a NTSC TV? Also, is there an easier way to install the .wad channels then doing the whole Trucha Signer etc... method?

I still have this one installed but never got the ocarina to work on autoboot as its supposed to do. Any fix for this?

Also, I was wondering about the channel data thing. It comes up as ??? in my Wii's channel data. Is it supposed to be like that? o.o
