Most of the users here are from outside the states. It's just a habit.
1.) Other non-compatible games are broken for various reasons. A fix for some may not fix all.
2.) Almost definitely.
3.) We can't. All we can do is discover why a certain game doesn't work, and act accordingly.

Does this fix/patch cause any issues with any other games? I have all my backups working (including Call of Duty: world at war) without any glitches or problems. Nothing freezes and I'm wondering if this patch might mess those games up.
Funny enough... The only game I don't have working yet is "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon".
Looking at the link, looks like the fix has to be done on each DVD backup so I guess the one I have is a coaster. I'll try to make a new one with the patch and see if that works.

So a quick recap of the past 4 pages using the IOSpatcher method these games now work on 0.3 gamma...

How will your patch work? will you be looking for specific games and patching them (hardcoded) of some sort of way to detect the ios and patch it to cios 249 (or whatever cios softmod use)

Can anyone try Metroid Prime 3? And any info on when the new Softchip loader with this fix will be out?

Tried patching Metroid prime 3 to IOS249, gets past error screen on gamma, haven't tried any other booting method and haven't tried the game out yet. LOADS THOUGH!!!! YAY
