Gaming Wario Land Shake

I'm quite embarassed to ask, but how do I advance to the 2nd stage ?
I played the tutorial (1st stage) where at the end i had to shake a cage and sth similar to a bird with an arrow flew out. I followed that direction and went into the house at the beginnen. The level was finished. Then there is the world map, but there i can only select the shop and the 1st stage. now i don't know how to advance

Yeh you have to go to the item shop, and providing you collected enough coins in the first world, you can buy a Map that opens up the next world which lets you progress.

Every-time you finish an island you must go buy another map to proceed

On the 1st level of the 1st main island i have stars for coins and time limit but cannot figure out what's needed for the 3? bad guys? Anyone done it?

i'm not sure , but it looks like you cant kill more than 3 bad guys . tell me if it works , since i tried killing more than 3, and its obviously not the task..

I'll give it a try.

Found a map after doing a 'shake' in the 2nd level which opened up a secret level.

Uhh, not really. The only Wii game I can think of that was availible before launch was SMG, and that was the big N's fault for using the actual game as the kiosk demo at retail locations. I don't think they'll make that mistake again.
