No way... For whatever reason when I connect to a different network, checked the 90SNS and says the Chinese and Polish Nintendo servers are unblocked... So I'm afraid I'll be banned...

The serial is blanked out with zeros though.

What now? Since it also doesn't ask if I want to input a manual DNS, it just connects straight away...

Given the lack of new game releases, is there any real need to update my switch oled to 23.0.0 or beyond for the near future? Currently on 22.5.0

Actually yes, for newer game updates that came after 23.0.0 was out.
For example Mario Kart 8 Deluxe received an update, although I'm not sure if the update came out just before or after 23.0.0.

It prompted me to update, but I'm on 22.1. So I can't say if 22.5 is enough.

So yes, it could be that a decade old game gets an update, then you need to update your entire Switch because of that.

Smash also got an update fairly recently.

Okay I can try that I'll have to charge my other switch and do it that way

Just grab the latest fresh Atmosphere, hekate and sys-patch and build atop of that. I'd advise against updating to the latest firmware until Atmosphere 1.12.1 comes out and DNS MITM fix with it.

Yeah the hats isn't update with the current atmosphere at the moment

Unofficial? The author of DBI doesn't support unofficial translations and apparently if the app detects that you've tried to use unofficial version it'll start behaving erratically from time to time after a while. However, that may or may not be the only problem. Did you boot into your CFW at any point without up-to-date sys-patch? i.e. updated firmware, Atmosphere and hekate but forgot to update sys-patch? In that case, reinstalling the game might fix the issue you're having.

I'll try that one but I want to try the match version method 1st
