I did a little lateral thinking online with an ebay buy that showed up the other day, along with a few small fun gains locally along with a repair+refurbishment that turned out well too.
The 4 handheld games there were 120 online, if you know the NGPC games, a steal as is. I didn't like the prices of those, so I made a bundle with the intent of minimally selling my non-NFRs of those off, but one of them wasn't to my standard (WW.) I kept the 2 NGPCs and SMB NFR, sold my Mario 3 for 15, that WW NFR for 40, after fees I got 3 solid games for 80 which is a massive win. The walkman was working but not(tape) did reserach, got the belt needed, did a good cleaning/servicing semi-blindly then bought 2 local tapes for 4 and got it working for notably less than buying a refurbed one online and to me that's more rewarding and not just on savings but the doing. Frogger was a $4 pickup, Tetris2 was $5 and I had a manual already. The mini arcade had 2 modern mattel handhelds for a dollar less ea, selling them to cover my costs on the rest as I love to break even if I can from that day.
