Hello Guys,

I modded my Switch v2 exactly one month ago and was amazed by the ability to play with mods.

As a huge fan of FF7, especially the original on PS1, I wanted to give the "New Thread" Mod a try.
I was tinkering around the last few days to get 2.099999 to work on switch, as I am a newb to Switch modding.

If you´re interested in testing the "Port", please give it a try.

Edit 1: (updated, as it was offline)
New Threat Mod v2.0.999992:

Edit 2:
New Threat Mod v2.0.999992 + NiNoStyle´s Character Models + Denton´s Chibi Icons:

Edit 3:
NiNoStyle´s Character Models (Chibi):

Side Note:
The howtoplay_keyassign_XX.pngs are just copied from Ssingledad7, that means it shows version number 2.09991 on them.

@Ssingledad7
@Those who shared the "ports" of the mod before:
Am I allowed to share those files here, or should I ask in Qhimm.com first?

Have fun.

I noticed you did not repack the files in the .lgp on the Ninostyle.
Btw, so annoying to download the files from megaup.

Does anyone know how to get the pc mods to work on switch?, When I try to use the unlgp+lgp tool to replace the textures it crashes the game.

I got some of the PC mods working so far.

Maybe some of my findings here will be helpful to someone out there.

You definitely get around and know what you're doing.

I'm still trying to finalize my port of the Shinra Archeology Cut. Would you have any idea why I can't seem to make any changes to the ff7_en file appear during game runtime? It's as if the game isn't actually reading the file, and is instead reading the information from elsewhere.

Know you might not have any idea, but figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

I'd have to investigate what you are doing. It is possible you are pointing it to the wrong path, perhaps.

What I'm trying to do right now is create a nx version of the 7th heaven patcher that can apply IRO mods to what can be applied on the switch version, and skip what can't be safely applied. It should make managing mods and testing them a bit easier.

I really wish you luck with this. It'd be a massive blessing to the FF7 Switch modding community.

Took a look just in case, and turns out you were right. I'd been doing a bunch of trouble-shooting and trying to figure out where the game was reading from when in the end it turned out I'd just placed the file in the wrong path.

I feel really dumb, lmao. At least now though, I can see about finishing this project.

You should reduce the size of the textures, sure the switch ran out of memory

I was organizing my self to work in the same project. Perhaps we can join efforts.

First thing to do is the FFNx plataform to allow the .iro

Join this discord, https://discord.gg/nSAzSuvZDQ I’m starting to organize the already ported mods to switch and the tooling recommended for type of modding (old way without .iro)

I dont mind helping out. I got all the Ninostyle stuff working properly now. Took a little bit of extra work. I'll make my code public, maybe others can build off of what I've done or fork it when it is ready.
