Use float type button until you see dbl, use edit A button and enter the number you see, then use the start search button to start a search, go back to game and let the game change your hp, come back and edit A then search again, repeat if needed and very soon you will find it.

The good news is that I haven't started the Jungle DLC yet (I assume that stage is in there) and I will update to the latest when I do to avoid bugs that seems to be plenty for Jungle DLC.

if you don't have enough space as code cave with one ALIGN 0x20 space ,you can use 2~4 ALIGN 0x20 space. between two "ALIGN 0x20 ", use "b #0x ALIGN address" to make sure continue.
