Hi, i'm kind of a dummy at the best of times. anyways, since I hadn't used it in a while, I went and tried to update DBI the usual way, replacing the config and nro files in the /switch/dbi/ folder. Now when I open dbi up I get this message, and I have no idea what it means or how to fix it:

I'm getting error messages trying to install games that indicate I need to update my firmware as well. I've followed the NH Switch Guide so far updating atmosphere and hekate. I'm now on the step where it gives instructions for updating sysmmc and emummc. Should I just do as the steps say? Is there anything I should watch out for? Updating sysmmc makes me paranoid since it appears that I'm exiting out to official firmware and I don't want to like, mess up my modded switch...

EDIT: I tried following the directions, booting into atmosphere pkg3 sysmmc and going to system update. I get an error that it is unable to communicate with servers. Should I boot to Stock sysMMC to do the initial update before moving on and updating emuMMC? I really don't know what I'm doing and am just reading instruction lists.

Edit edit: I found stethyx's youtube guide directing how to update via daybreak, which is far less headaches and just did that.

I am trying to get my save files off my Switch to use in emulators. I just performed a NAND and key dump of my Switch using Fusee and Hekate, I don't want to install any homebrew or CFW on the Switch itself so I can't use apps like Checkpoint.

I can load the nand dump in NxNandManager using my dumped keys, and I can extract the saves as individual files with no extension, but when I try to extract the contents of the save files themselves since all the emulators expect the save data to be extracted into files/folders NxNandManager works for a few seconds but then throws an error and the folder I tried to extract to is empty.

hi i see the sigpatch thread stop updating can someone share a link to the latest sys-patch thread?or a download (os 22.5.0)
 
Well I'm in a pickle. I downloaded some MSI files to add roms to the nintendo classics apps...only I accidentally downloaded patches for russian versions of the roms! Womp. Now, I can't figure out how to delete that patch and return the nros to default selection. Deleting the games and reinstalling keeps the patches active. I can't even figure out where the patches were saved to, it's certainly not /atmosphere/contents.
 
Question.
After upgrading atmosphere and Hekate to the releases made for 22.5.0, my console hangs at the switch logo. I have not updated my switch yet. Should I downgrade atmosphere and try again?
 
Can anyone please tell me what kind of error is this? I installed the new Tico and the error started ocurring. Fw 22.1, latest Hekate and nyx.

Also, my PC stopped reading the switch when in Hekate - tools - SD card. It makes the sound, but the disc doesn't appear ever. What could that be? Thank you.

QUESTION

My 2017 era Switch has had ongoing issues with the sdcard reader (have replaced the reader, had the connector on the MB replaced/resoldered and tried multiple sd cards), and i think the microsoldering technician has stuffed it completely (been back multiple times unsuccessfully). Im going to look at buying a similar unpatched switch to replace it and just JBing it. Does anyone know if it is possible to log into my nintendo account on the replacement switch (to activate it against my profile), then take it offline, JB it, and then just use my existing sdcard (with games, saves etc)? Or do i need to start everything fresh? Cheers in advance
 
I want to update my sw, its on 16 cfw (atmosphere). Whats everything i need to upgrade to the latest , 22.5.0. i remember i needed somethings (why i havent done it).
 
Anyone know how to fix this? I can't install Dlc pack 5 on Naruto Storm Connections

Hello guys!

I have quite some troubles with finding my save files (and also games) of my emunand.

Basically what I did was the following :

  1. Since there was something problematic inside my SD Card that prevented me to run some mods in a game (FE Engage), I needed to clean it up.
  2. First I did a backup of all my sd card the old fashioned way (copy / paste).
  3. Then I used Hekate to make a backup of my emunand (but it seems like it was the sysnand, even though it was the emunand ?) then clean up my sd card with h2testw and also the archive test thing in hekate.
  4. I reinstalled, atmosphere, hekate, the sigpatches, etc as well as restoring my emunand backup.
And surprise, all of my games located on the emunand part of my switch as well as my saves are not there anymore, I tried again with FE Engage, no saves anymore.

So I tried NXNandManager but the only saves that I could find are from my games in my sysnand ? For some reasons.

Thus, I wonder why these games and saves are not there anymore. My last clue and I think that might be this is the huge emunand/nintendo folder that I have still as a backup that weighs almost 90GB. I tried to just copy past it back, to no avail. I cannot access with NXNandManager. Is there any way to access the data in this folder ?

I suspect that folder contains what I am looking for but I cannot access it, any way to do it ?

Well what did you have a partition emunand?
