Actually, Amazon has a good supply. I got a bundle for a case & charger. They even threw in an SD2Vita off the record, before I even knew I wanted one.

Mostly for RPGS on the PSP side of things (currently playing breath of fire 3) as for the vita side of things? I use it as PDA of sorts, mainly to take notes
using vita shells text document editor, i use music on there, helps tell time, can browse the web for an answer if im stuck in a game as for the communication
side of things, i'm still figuring out how to get my email to work (i know there's a guide on this forum but i couldn't get it to work), though I've gotten GBAtemp to
work on here via the browser! it's basically my all in one device when i wanna be away from my phone, i even decorated it to make it a xenosaga themed vita

While OC is and always has been an "at your risk" option, I think there are enough resources, comments and the like that reaffirm that sane OC settings basically never caused issues. It isn't like PCs where you'd be raising clocks until a sweet spot where it stops working correctly, on the Vita the OC tools only give sane values for what is already a severely underclocked system, as I already mentioned.

Considering how much homebrew either automatically applies higher clocks, or greatly benefits from that, you'd be missing out on free gains for no good reason. Just try it sometime.
I heard overclocking can cause the GPU to fail, is that just not true?

Yay another Vita poster. Google works on the email app with some specific account settings). But what's your search engine of choice now that Google.com no longer works?

The OLED Vita has a werd port for the USB Cable.

The battery is fine, but if the USB Cable breaks it is not easy to replace.

You probably have the Slim model, that's the one that uses a USB Micro-B cable.
Sorry, being hasty again. You can simply get one of those USB-C to Vita 1000 port adaptors from China for a bargain:

There are some aftermarket chargers too, but that sounds potentially less safe and definitely less versatile. Still, regardless what you choose, it's much more worth it than sticking with a broken cable. That sounds like a fire hazard!

Would have to look into that, but considering Vita 1000 has a less efficient SoC, it sounds riskier than doing it on 2000/Slim. It looks like the usual reason for the screen yellowing on 1000 is heat from charging and playing simultaneously, so if anything, the screen seems to be usual victim... So if anything, don't charge and play!

Is true, basically remember to touch the back of the Vita and if it gets warm close everything and turn it off.

When running an emulator or homebrew never pick the max graphics settings since the Vita screen is too small for that to matter anyway.

Turns out Animal Crossing on the Vita had the max settings on by default for some reason, no wonder it was giving me some problems like overheating and crashes.

Today I'm drinking chinese tea with Rin Tohsaka :3 (PC port of fate stay night)

This form factor is so good for VNs
