Just ask the same question a million more times, and eventually you’ll hear the answer you want.

YES, it’s going really well—June 15 is the day you shall have it all
I'm not the one out asking questions, I'm patiently waiting and probably will be for years more :)

I think it may be related to what N patched in 22.0.0 :P

Changes in and surrounding page table logic:
  • KPageTableBase::LockForMapDeviceAddressSpace now checks for a new KPageTableBase boolean, m_allowed_exec_device_mapping, and decides between KMemoryPermission_None and KMemoryPermission_UserExecute for the permission mask value if the boolean is, respectively, set or not.
    - This prevents mapping any executable memory as device memory.
Though I don't think this will give you any chance at running CFW.

If I understand this correctly, It allowed getting new mapping to executable part of process but with RW- permission, allowing dumping and changing executable code in real time.
Code:
Physical RAM page
       │
├──▶ Virtual mapping A [r-x]/[--x] < executable, not writable (normal user mapping)
       │
└──▶ Virtual mapping B [rw-] < writable device mapping --- BUG, shouldn't be allowed when there is already executable mapping used tor the same page

How useful it is I have no idea. I guess it depends on which process is making this possible.

If I am understanding your statement right, it would enable someone to dump out parts of memory, given that the process has access to that part of memory. (hence the whole depends on the process. it could be something pretty useless, or something that is more useful. Otherwise needing another bug to potentially read some other parts of memory that is outside of the process.)

nintendo will block the hackers even if it takes until theres no support being given so why not wait until then? I know hackers will spam the laugh emoji or say "shut up asskisser we do it because we can!"

... Don't get why you are trying to start a fight.

Anyways, they'll still do it. Hacking into a console still takes time.
It's one thing to have an exploit working.
It's another to understand why and how the console functions on a large scale.

Often when an exploit is developed, modders/hackers are still learning new knowledge about the device. And at that point it's a mix of curiosity, and completion.

Edit: also delaying is also just a bad idea. What if there is hardware exploits? (Which there usually is) Those take serious knowledge and time to find. Because at the end of the day, even though we know the switch 2 runs some modified version of the switch 1 OS. We don't actually know how modified it is. It's a black box at that point with loose idea of what's inside it.

So like I’m just gonna go out on a limb and say the Switch 2 exploit will involve using magnets because the Switch 2 uses magnetic joy cons maybe something like how you hacked the N3DSXL kinda?

Mods will come when sales decrease. ;)

At the moment there are two interesting games (DK and Mario Kart). And lets be honest. Those are not really system sellers (as sales figures show currently). So that there is no mod chip or exploit at the moment is not really bothering me as long as there is no new zelda or mario system seller out there.

Do people even know what normal sales figures are for games are? It's like if stuff doesn't sell 10s of millions, it's not selling. People expect too much

If sales were OK, Nintendo would not have lowered production and increased prices this week.
Nintendo is lowering production because they overproduced. There were lower than expected sales during the holidays, a 2 month period, and only in the US, the only region in the world with a declining economy because of some lunatic in charge. It has still sold more units than the ps5 within the same launch period, when comparing to ps5 first year, and also PS4 first year, and that's in 9 months of the switch 2.

The switch 2 had currently matched the switch 1 first year sales, even without the "console sellers" you are so focused on

Not even that.

There was not a reduction of production. It was a sensationalist piece by a questionable author (Google him).

Nintendo already denied the production reduction.

It is still the fastest selling system. But just wait until May for their next financial results and you will see.

Nintendo didn't increase prices.

They actually just announced that they will be pricing their digital games $10 cheaper in May, starting with the new Yoshi game ($70 physical, $60 digital).

Well, theoretically, by packaging a Switch 1 game that jailbreaks the Switch 2, couldn't it work? (Since the S2 pretty much emulates S1 games)
