Where do you find a ribbon adapter for the AGS-001?

I don't get it, why would you want an adapter if you don't intend to install an ags-101 screen?
I want to put an AGS-001 screen inside an AGB. Most of these adapters only work for ags-101 screens and will completely fry ags-001 screens.

The best thing I could find is this tutorial, that teaches you how to install the frontlight of the SP on the original GBA. It looks a bit difficult as you have to trim some parts of the shell (which you would still have to do if you used an SP screen as it's not the same form factor anyway), and you might be better off with a dedicated IPS screen but you maybe have your reasons to not do that.

PS: I could also find this topic from someone who successfully managed to do what you want, so you might want to look into that if that's useful to you.

Thank you, but the documentation on the first link is very very odd. I'm currently talking to the person who made the second thread you linked just to see what's going on.

Did you look at my thread?

The trick is to use the adapter ribbon you first need to disconnect the frontlight ribbon from the SP's LCD assembly, and power it separately. With a 32 pin GBA this is literally the only thing you need to do to make the screen work with the typical AGS-101 adapter cables.

What is the exact issue you are having? You say frying screens- this doesn't make sense unless you are referring to burning out the frontlight.

I did manage to get this mod working on a 32 pin GBA, but it is noticeably dimmer than a regular ags-001 display. Is this normal?

Where are you getting the LED power from? What resistor did you use?
I’m using a wire that came with my adapter. I’ll have to check the resistor.

What’s weird, is that the wire snapped off.. yet the light was still on. I don’t even know what could cause that.
