Replacing the Light Guide Plate is difficult..
The problem of blackening at the corners of DSiXL/DSiLL is more serious, DSLite&DSi is the whitish corners of the corners.
It will recover for a while after freezing, is there any research on this?

At least with the console that I've dealt with, by volume, yellowing is far and away a bigger problem. The vignetting is an interesting one, and I have a few DSi xL displays with it that I kept, so if enthusiasm and time find me at the right moment, I can see if I can discover anything.

Holy shit, this actually works. I'm 24 hours in and 50% of my yellowing is gone! I wish I had a time lapse camera to film everything.

i have one ds lite with this issue, and i wanted to treat it with same way like yellow screen; leaving for many days on with white screen on, and after few days blackening expended and covered much more space that before...

Your issue isn’t the issue(DSiXL corners turning black, DS Lite/DSi corners turning white) I was talking about.
Your DS Lite screen is black, it may be a problem with the top/bottom polarizer.

I made a test application which takes a different approach to this issue, after some observations I made on my own DSi (I'll just copy paste what I've already written).
After noticing my DSi's screens started to yellow from the corners and sides, I tried using leaving it on for 2.5 days on a white screen.
While that did help a bit, I was starting to get worried about leaving the console on at max brightness, so I stopped; it was also apparently reyellowing a bit after leaving it off for the night.
But then the next day, after using the console for an afternoon to play games, I noticed that the yellowing was noticeably reduced.
Because of this, I started thinking that changing colors would be more effective compared to a static white screen.

If anyone is willing to test if this has any effect, let me know. Acknowledge all the warnings in the readme.

EDIT: I've turned my application into a more proper and complete application akin to 3dyellower, which allows to choose between my experimental mode and the usual white screens, and additional features (timers to turn the screens on and off, automatic shutdown at the end)

I am going to use your application - will post results.

Hi! Can you please share compiled program? I have no devices to compile it :(

I tried this solution where you keep the white screen on at maximum intensity, and I must say it improved the situation. Most of the improvements are seen in the first 3 days, with relatively noticeable daily progressions up to the 7th day, after which the improvement becomes really difficult to notice (I had one screen more yellowed than the other, and I treated one of the two less, turning it on periodically, which made it easier to see the whitening progression by noting the difference between the two screens), but the progressions can be felt up to the 15th day (very slight).

I took some photos, but you can't really appreciate anything from them.

During this time I noticed that the yellowing was more visible under daylight, while under artificial light it almost did not appear.
