If it is anything like the Mario 25th anniversary, they would re-release the gamecube zelda collection, as is, for the switch 2 except with more awkward controls, and pictures of their technical engineering sketches from the nineteen eighties (which is the real reason why engineers like me would want it).

you're not paying for the re-release; you're paying officially for what would normally be propeitary information from, of all organizations, Nintendo.

How many times does Miyamoto put pictures of his official technical drawings and concepts for Mario and Zelda on sale?

might be considered a necrobump but i’m a necromancer
the anniversary date was really strange on nintendo’s end. i don’t think it even got a mention outside of their today app. chances are there’ll be something coming, but given the cold response i think it’s fair to ask - is it over?

I'm still hyping myself up for a Twilight Princess HD and/or Wind Waker HD remasters (in reality, just ports from the Wii U, but now in 1080p).
Just straight ports would be fine, but give it a 60fps boost (previously just 30fps).

To be honnest, with all the big surprises we got for Mario's 40th anniversary, I'm not really hyped for Zelda
I guess it's gonna be just another sad year, right?
I expect Zelda 1, 2, 3 and 4 as separate eShop titles. No enhancements. Just the original roms running in (stolen open source) emulators.
19.99 $ each.

What a shame. Is it all the older devs at Nintendo are short-timers now? And the new staff, wants to recreate the wheel, and dump all the classic stuff. All for the New Modern Nintendo, for modern audiences and gacha mobile games. Growing up, the whole family would play on the nintendo console. I grew up and did the same with my kids when they were young. This new blood everywhere is just not very creative, and just wants to remake/remaster older stuff instead. Low effort, likely because they grew up with tablets and phones meant just to consume, not create.

TL;DR: A teaser trailer for the movie with no footage, and a mobile Zelda-themed infinite runner.

I stopped expecting Nintendo to treat its fan base how it deserves. Especially when it comes to delivering the last few games still bound to the WiiU.

As for something big? Ninty will say it's the movie, or something stupid. Nothing special for North American Nintendo fans. At least Japan is getting those cool looking swords!

I don’t think anything special will be announced because they will of spent alongtime doing the Zelda Upgrade packs for the Switch 2
