Years ago, I formatted a drive for a Wii U. Now it won't be recognized by PC. At least in windows; I haven't got any other operating systems at the moment.

How can I format it back to be used with a PC?

Thanks in advance!

Right click your start button then click Run at the bottom, type in diskmgmt.msc
Look for the drive in the list, it will have Disk # next to it like Disk 3, make note of this. Close the disk manager.

Right click your start button then click Run at the bottom, type in diskpart

Wait for diskpart to load up, sometimes can take a minute or two if you have a lot of drives attached. Once it's finished loading type in these commands

sel disk 3 Use the number from before
clean
create partition primary
format fs=ntfs quick
assign

You can close the box now and you should see the drive back on your PC
