Thanks! ^^ Glad to help.

If you don't want to start from scratch but want to update the existing CFW (provided that you're on Atmosphere and not SX OS), check this guide.
As for the rentry guide specifically, you can check the archive.org for archived pages. I'm sure that most if not all is still available there.
Following the Impessa guide, should I update to the pre-release of Atmosphere (v180) or the stable (v171)? Also for firmware, should I go for 1901 or any of the older ones?

I'm currently on the latest Atmosphere 1,8,0-pre and firmware 19.0.1 and, as far as I'm concerned, everything works properly.

okay, I think I managed to upgrade now (following Impessa guide). I only went to 18.1.0 but now Tinfoil wont start....any ideas?
EDIT: Think I got it running by installing the Applet version of Tinfoil..seems to be problem with getting it running otherwise..

I've tried this but Tegra keeps coming up not responding when injecting payload. Tried like 6 usb cables and nothing
I think we need some more info on what you are trying to do (unless I missed a post or something). For starters, although I doubt this is your first time using TegraRCM, did you actually go to the settings tab and install the driver? Without that, Tegra won't properly recognize your Switch.

Also, I see from your earlier error message that you are already in Hekate. Why do you need to inject a Payload via TegraRCM?

You can simply copy a payload to the SD Card and launch it using the Payloads option in Hekate. You don't need to turn the Switch off before you remove the SD Card either, as long as you're in Hekate, everything will continue to work.

If I start up the Dragon Quest III remake I can play it just fine. If I reboot my console the game will check if I’m connected online. I’ll have to completely remove the game and the ticket and install again. I’ve never had this issue with any other game before so I’m wondering if this is some sort of ticket issue perhaps? And ideas how I can fix this game?

I really appreciate all the help I can get here with noob-questions, fast and helpful answers all the time, it's incredible!! It would not be possible without you all! Thanks everyone! :)

I successfully upgraded my CFW and have a question regarding the firmware folder I created during the upgrade process. I saved my FW-files in a folder called /firmware1810 in the root on my SD-card, can I delete this now or is those files in use?

...I also have a folder called just /firmware in the root of the SD-card, I assume this is from the previous time I upgraded but cannot recall. Is this supposed to be there or can I delete it given the same scenario/question above?

Your CFW is actually Atmosphere (most likely anyway), and what you (likely) upgraded was your Firmware, which Is now 18.1.0 I believe?

Just wanted to set that straight.

Anyway, yes, you can delete both folders if you wish. Neither the folder nor the FW files are needed once the update is done.

I also have a folder named firmware on my SD Card, which i created myself.

Understandable. I did try to warn others about this cartridge, but they didn't listen to me or anybody else about the EZ-Flash and bought them anyways, only to realise that they wasted their money.

@anotherthing, It acts kinda the same way as an Ace3DS+ cartridge, because it uses the commonly known Wood kernel as a base.

I have three EZ Flash Omega/DEs and I really was thinking that the EZ Flash Parallel would work similar to how the Omega worked. Where it recognizes the file extension and loads that file accordingly.

  • A @ anotherthing:
To play an NES game on the EZ Flash Omega, you just toss it on the SD card and select it from the menu and it loads it in to the NES emulator.

The EZ Flash Parallel just works like every single other card I have.

I can walk her through how to do something like loading an NES game on a $10 cartridge.
