You can ask questions here. I don't do private conversation.

Ok! No problem! Well, I have 2 Switch consoles that use the same 6 Nintendo Accounts x2. I want to get the save files and use them in my PC with an emulator. Today I got a 3rd console that I'm planning to modify so I can have that option through CFW.

So, if I get this straight...
1) I add the same 6 accounts also to the 3rd console.
2) I use the "Transfer your save data" option of the Nintendo Switch menu to move the save data to the 3rd console.
3) Enter CFW and save that save file to my SD->PC.
4) Use the "Transfer your save data" option of the Nintendo Switch menu again to send the save data back to console 1/2

Is this fine so far?

I wouldn't really recommend running CFW on the NAND that you have online play, as for save pulling you can try tegra explorer since you have CFW switch.

I am not planning to use the 3rd console (with the CFW) for online features at all (except only when I will transfer the save data to consoles 1/2)

Also, can't I extract the save files using JKSV while offile?

You risk a ban using homebrew with a Nintendo account. If the third unit doesn't have a clean NAND then don't bother trying.

Isn't that proccess be done while offline? I'm consused. Can you explain to me plz how it works exactly? How can I get safely the save file and have it in my PC?

The 3rd console will be able to enter both CFW and OFW seperately. (sorry didn't mentioned that before)

So my plan was to enter OFW and do the "transfer your save data" thing with the other consoles and get the save file to the 3rd console....then go offline and enter CFW to get the save to the SD... then go online, enter OFW again and move the save back to the other consoles again with the the "transfer your save data".

Fat32

File based is just as good as partition these days and way easier to backup

Except if corruption happens, then the files for emummc could get corrupted, but as long as you dont use exfat you probably dont have to worry about that
Damn, and i guess when you let the CFW partition the drives it probably sets one of them to exFAT and not FAT32.

If I had it set to exFAT and choose a partitioned emunand will the partitioned nand be exFAT or is it some special kind of format? Just curious if I need to totally reformat everything or just the main partition.

Partition emummc is switch specific filesystem, same as onboard emmc or something like that. Either way it's neither exfat nor fat32 inside

hekate will never format your card as exfat

@Hayato213 @ATEMVEGETA is it safe to use a Switch emulator (Pokemon) save on OFW Switch and play online?
@Hayato213 About that... what if the save file was originally created legit in the Nintendo Switch, then moved to the emulator and get gameplay progress there, and moved back to Switch again? Do you think this would be dangerous?

Ofc no moddification/editing will be done while on the emulator. Just normal gameplay progress. Could that "flag" the save file as illegal for some reason? What do you think?

Just using CFW while going online is fine, Atmosphere is designed for that with its default settings.
I'm playing Splatoon online for years by now while I don't even remember when I last bootet stock, I think somewhere around 4.x.
What gets people banned is either cheating/romhacking/save editing with non online safe things online, nsps/xcis of any type and possibly also fucking with things already send to nintendo, like logs.

As long as both systems are clean while doing the transfer, so no installed nsps/xcis, and you don't plan to modify the saves with other tools before bringing them back from the emulator to the switch, it should be fine.
Through if possible it would probably be easier to just boot up CFW on the console with the saves, or if supported use nintendos cloud sync to get the saves.
I moved my splatoon 2 savegame manually between consoles in teh past while in CFW on both consoles, and moved some savegames from yuzu to my switch in the past too. All still fine with the switch and the save games when going online.

Through, unless you know what you are doing, its probably best to not use an AIO package, and instead just download atmosphere from the github releases page, and use without any additional patches for this, since Atmospheres default config is setup for online and AIO packages might contain signature patches and tools that install themself when started like tinfoil, which is not easily revertable and will likely lead to bans when going online in that state.

Did that for pokemon violet without any problem, just make sure you didn't use romhacks that alter spawn or cheated weird stuff. Also make sure its a normal savegame, not an online shared save with stuff already unlocked to play on.
Doing this is not much different from just using the game on a switch while offline, and then using the transfer tool to move it to another switch and playing it online there.

Excellent! I don't even use online that much, just Pokemon HOME and get some events when possible during their distribution periods. I am planning to even use legit save files originally created in Switch, not even emulator-created. And ofc not planning to moddify the save data that way. Original gameplay only in both Switch and emulator, and no shared save files ofc, each one will be unique. Not planning any duplications cheats, etc.

Hey, just replying cause I wanted to ask, I Installed the newest version of atmosphere on my switch the other day, It has support for the latest firmware version on the switch, but when I try to boot a game it still asks me to update. My console firmware is 18.0.1 but I was just wondering is it safe to update?
