Y'all know it's going to be a chip made 2 years ago. It will probably be just a slight upgrade with like faster chip with minimal raytracing support with dlss/fsr to make up for low res. They will add something like the vitality sensor to force people to buy new controllers.

You are 100% right it will never come out as Nintendo aren't gonna call it the Switch 2. I really don't get why everyone keeps calling it the Switch 2. Nobody back in the day was saying I can't wait for the NES 2 to come out. Nobody back in the day was saying I can't wait for the N64 2 to come out ect ect so why now are we calling it the Switch 2??

Because a bunch of people rely on misinformation as their source, even Shuntaro Furukawa told everybody that they don't have plans for another Switch model.

The Switch is very much a Wii U in a smaller handheld form-factor.

Don't bother buying it, if its going to be the same all over again. Its going to be overpriced, have the same hardware with a few slight quirks to it, and nothing else. Better off saving your money and buy an older model Switch.

Better not really turn out to be like one of those flip phone where the screens can fold. I always felt like those will be an issue in the future, if not already an issue. Never was really interested in screen folding phones and some rumors make it look like it will be if I seen correctly.

It probs will have a disc/cartridge and digital version (attachment accessory maybe) like other two platforms.

I'm not a HUGE fan of consumerists, phones with folding screens are for dumb people.

A console with a disc drive would increase the costs, hence cartridges are cheaper to produce than hot cakes or the whole supply of metal.

I think an eSIM would be a good new feature for the Switch 2 to allow wireless functionality anywhere. Something that all the handheld PCs these don't have to my knowledge.

I can't predict what Nintendo will do but here's what I wish they would do:

Larger display, better speakers
LCD display, for now - OLED for Pro version later
NVMe storage - no more slooooow Micro SD
Redesigned, bigger / more ergonomic joy cons - with hall effect sensors and WITHOUT any other gimmicks that are rarely used by most games
Removable battery - this simple improvement would be a game changer. Handheld mode could run games at MAX settings. If this only gives you 2 hrs of game play, no big deal, just swap in a fresh battery and continue gaming!
Of course, latest gen SOC + more/faster RAM

Pro version later:

Even larger display
OLED display
Pro dock with additional processing power for even better graphics settings when docked

This would be the dream hybrid handheld for me. Maxed out handheld graphics WITHOUT battery life anxiety due to having a REMOVABLE BATTERY. And, have a PRO DOCK with additional processing power to deliver top end 4K graphics. NVMe storage, so the games can have highly detailed textures since we can go up to 4 TB on a NVMe.

Nobody would want to teardown their Switch just so they can update or add one or more files. microSD's are dirt cheap and easier to utilise, it also cuts down the cost of the hardware.

If it was a later gen SoC, then updates for the NVidia drivers would have to be pushed out for every single game or system update, so that the games can run correctly on the hardware.
