I am idly wondering if NAND-AID/UDPIH/de_Fuse (soon?) repairs is viable as a side hustle though. Guess it depends how many local dead consoles there are.
I don't think so. But it maybe also depends on where you live. I could see it as an additional service for people who are emotionaly attached to a specific console and are willing to pay a little extra to have it saved.
But in my country a used working console costs about 40€, so that's what you have to beat. NAND-AID is ~5€ in parts (maybe more if you don't have the cheapest special other maybe a little less if you order in a higher quantity, but then you would have to sell through all of that)
Then you have to get an SD card, you could get one for 10€, but a SanDisk Max Endurance, costs 15€ and I would choose the more expensive one as the Wii U seems to write much) then you already are at 20€ and haven't done any work yet. Then you have to disassemble the whole thing and solder that mod, which you can do in maybe half an hour and then the real work starts in fixing all the errors, which is quite a manual process. You could maybe automate that to a degree, but then you have to offset the time you used for writing the automation by selling enough. And in the end the console still will be not as good as a working used one.
You probably will have broken folders, which use up space and cause a brick if you factory reset and it is modified, with a mod that doesn't provide any advantage over a stock console.

And then I believe the demand is not that high. Not even 10 in my country so far

This brings another interesting question. Those who have installed and repaired Wii Us. With parts and labor, what would you charge to install a NAND-AID?

@skawo nice guide with clear picutres.
Just some minor things:
I think cutting the trace should be done before installing NAND aid or else it will be much harder to access.

If the hardmod is used for dumping it would be easier to first install NAND AId and then use that to dump.

I think you added the capton tape, because of the vias next to the transistor leg? These vias are actually connected to that leg, so it doesn't matter if you short to them. You can check with a multimeter to be sure.

Maybe add the wfs-extract command to check it
Code:
wfs-extract --input mlc.bin --otp otp.bin --output mlc-extract --mlc
Also it is expected that dumps done with the hardmod or the NAND Dumper Payload are expected to show a few errors, that aren't relly there, because of the slc cache

Good Afternoon!

First, congratulations for this amazing project!

I have two Wii U's.

I have one that is bricked due to improper handling by CBHC.

And one that isn't bricked.

But I made the situation worse. I made two harmods for the first and second Wii U.

I have a question :
Is it possible to dump the unbricked Wii U and inject it into the bricked Wii U via Nand-Aid?

Thank for your reply.

No, but if UDPIH still works, it should be possible to fix the bricked one.

EDIT: we can't give you a tutorial without knowing what your specific problem exactly is. If UDPIH works, dump the logs and post them here

The problem is that the wii u does not display the logo on startup.
And I tried the recovery menu, it is still blocked at connection.

I used my nintendo switch to do the UDPIH.

Edit : I think my Wii U is Dead.

ive got a unit that locks up on the logo and no longer responds to udpih, but when it was still more responsive i got its keys out, yes its a hynix. ive looked at the error logs from its final dying days before it stopped responding and emmc was reporting a fatal error. are the tools available currently enough to restore it? i have no backups because it was already in an unusable state when i got it

Did you try different timings? It's possible for udpih to work, even with no screen output. The led should then turn purple.
If not you have to wait for new tools leveraging defuse, then it could become recoverable.

Now that it became so bad, we can only hope. If udpih works again with the SD replacement, then there is a way to fix it.
Maybe even runing udpih a little earlier, even before the screen inits could be good enough. If it worked the LED will turn purple. But I would first replace the eMMC. The more you do on the bad eMMC, the worse it gets. You can dump it using a PC and a card reader.

I tried but no led in purple.
I have two wii u with a hardmod, they were soldered correctly.
On Win32DiskImager, I also dumped my unbricked wii u and wrote to the bricked wii u and there was a cyclic redundancy error. So my bricked wii u is corrupted.
