Several years ago i got my 3DS modded by a store near my house, and it was working perfectly for a while. Someone else used the console and updated the software without knowing the console was modded, and after that the console stopped working. The blue light would come on but turn off immediately, so i gave up and didnt bother with it for a couple of years. Yesterday i found it and tried re modding a new SD card following instructions in this forum (keep in mind im a complete noob when it comes to modding) but when i inserted the card it would still not work. Nonetheless when i use a new non modded SD card the blue light turns on and stays on until i turn it off. I get no other screens than the black one. Is there any software fix i can do? Or is it completely a lost cause?

Thank you. Do i replace all files on my SD card with these or do i keep any existing files?
If you had a boot.firm file on the root of the sdcard prior to now then it's not being recognized. It's either too old or too new, if you're still on A9lh (most likely).
So you can back up the old boot.firm if you want, and replace it with either the v7.0.5 or v.10 from above, keep everything else intact. You can try other Luma versions if either didn't work.

I sadly have no idea what files there were on the old SD card, its not being read by my computer so i cant check or back up any files. I thought modding a new SD card would work but maybe i did something wrong because its still not working.

is your New 3DS bricked? if so, you can try to use the ntrboot exploit and unbrick your system if possible.

(Use the video as a ref) Thanks @DarkFlare69

Use this guide: https://3ds.hacks.guide/

It's optional if you want to do that, and you need only Luma3DS (boot.firm file) to get the 3ds up and working. First make sure your sd card is formatted as Fat32 32kb cluster size then put that boot.firm file from either versions above, switch to the other if it the first one doesn't work etc.

Even after placing the boot.firm file (from above) on the root of the sdcard?
