Man... play GC with X360 controller on Wii through this fork of yours is something that official Nintendont don't do (i pretended to make a pun with the already pun-name of the homebrew, but guess i don't has this kind of skill too hehe).

This should be put as recommendations by the own Ntndnt team and any wii modder teaching how to run things on console for starters on any forum, blog or YTlike video since a generic 360 USB controllers are easy to find, used to have a better cost x benefit than USD dualshock ones and may be the best option at hand for some people not too much deep in this world.

I'm pretty confy here with a good quality generic GC and a WiiU Pro Controller +other options from my personal collection; even had updated my Wii homebrews for the first time since ever this last week, but will try your fork as a side loader just to feel if a have some insights since sometimes i need to work on other people hardware too and like to let them with the best experience they can afford.

PS: A 360 wireless controller NEVER will work anywhere other than a propper X360 console due to that play&charge kits being made only for charging purposes (they carry ZERO data from the USB where they plug, so the controller keeps talking with the console through its wireless proprietary protocol) - same can be observed for Xbox One/Series on PS3/4/5 and vice versa, where you can plug your controler in the concurrent system and still play on its own previous paired system since it will only drain charge from the doner USB (yeah... i already tried this since i already had to charge two PS controllers at the same time while playing and the PS wasnt at reach for the cables.
... but MAYBE, who knows: the official 360 wireless receiver could do the trick and turn the system able to work with until 4 controllers at time (with the propper tweaks like happens when we plug a 2 ports PS2toUSB adapter on Wii USBs, since both ports of the adapter are recognized as only one controller for what i saw last time i messed with these ini files).

the main problem is that the 360 controllers use rf (radio frequencies) instead of bluetooth like every other console.

I've said this before in the thread: the wireless adapter will crash the console, won't power up, etc. It won't work. Source: I received the adapter as a gift at the time, and "beta tested" with @revvv if it was possible to use it when his fork was starting. Nor the Wii or Wii U were able to work correctly with it.

possibly due to the fact that adapter on the computer needs the xbox accessories 1.2 installed to function.

I speculate it is a power thing. Not sure. It won't even ignore it like a regular 360 pad, it will straight up get mad and misbehave.
I like the feel of the 360 pad, but the dpad is among one of the worst I've ever seen. though, the steam controller is a close second. it might be possible to use one with a brook adapter or chronus, just not the regular, normal adapter.

That's right! The dpad is one of the worst in the whole modern gaming industry, LOL.

About the adapter, yeah, i've read a lot of reports of those working with Nintendont, DS4 and 360. They just need a proper ini. Magic NS too.

hmm, doesn't look like brook or chronus is compatible with the 360. virtually every other console and controller though. I can use a ps5 dual sense on my ps2. I'm assuming that it's due to the 360 using rf instead of bluetooth, and they probably don't want to invest money into adding it for one console.
