Ive been following the guide from mariocube to try to install RB2 DLC using the disc method. I have the bogus wad from wad2bin but each time I try I get error code -1022 and it says "Content does not match hash in TMD." Any tips?

I have tried various ways and it seems your meant to get this error. I can get the beatles DLC to work but no others. They all say data corrupt once on there. I did find without ios 222 and 223 installed my sd card was not detected. Also i found the game had to be on ios 250. If anyone works this out it would be amazing.
Yes please if anyone can help. So far, I’ve used wad2bin, it generates bin files and the bogus wad as the instructions state. I’ve tried uninstalling the reinstalling the bogus wad. Then I get this error (unsure if I’m supposed to get the error). But I load the disc ( I’m using the disc channel method) and nothing new appears. Am I missing a step?
I dont have the disk any more i gave my wii away many moons ago with the disks ect but my kids wanted one nearly 10 years later so had to go the usb loader way. But reading the guide if you do it by disk you have to do something else with the ios have you followed that part ? I havent followed this part as like i said i dont have the disk.
Yes I did. I’m not sure if I need to update all the CIOS to the newest ones for improved compatibility? Would I just download an installer in apps and overwrite these or do I need to start fresh?
i think i found my issue i didn't have the shop files
. Im now loading new download content so fingers crossed When you click new songs dose it ask you to open the shop ?
That error code is normal. It doesn't mean the WAD didn't install, necessarily.
Make sure you do an uninstall cycle on the WADs first, then an install. Ignore that TMD hash error if it comes up after that.
I installed my RB2 and RB3 DLC from Big WADs and did each WAD one-by-one to reduce risk of problems arising, as when I tried to install the Dummy WADs in bulk, my Wii would hang.
If you still have issues, it is likely that you're missing CIOS that is needed for this to work OR you have your DLC content in the wrong directory; something of that nature.

My problem is no new songs even appear after booting the disc. I will try installing new CIOS and see what happensi think i found my issue i didn't have the shop files

Noob question, if I want to update CIOS is it safe to just use an installer app on Homebrew channel as if I was modding a fresh system? Or is there some other process I need to do to uninstall the previous modifications

Thats how i updated mine but like i said i had to boot the shop channel first to populate the files before rock band would work.
Yeah mine didnt work until i opened the shop up now sd card is picked up and songs loaded fine
Ah the plot thickens. I am running a previous system software so if I got to the shop channel it tells me there is a new shop channel version available, need system update. But if I update, I assume this may remove some of my mod build.
Should I go forward with that update, then plan to re-do my mods (fresh letterbomb? i dont even know what would get deleted in the update)
Im going to be honest i was already on 4.3 and it asked the same so i took the gamble and ran it. I didnt see any changes but the shop loaded up after and then i closed it and all worked. I did ignore the warning of the update if its modded bla bla. Afterwards i ran a system check and nothing had changed in my ios so i didnt do any updates to them.
Im in no way an expert and i might of been lucky someone else might be able to guide if its safe or not but my gamble worked when i done it all.
I feel like I am so close. So I got an error when attempting the update. So I used dop-mii to add the shop channel and that works, shop channel loads. Re-attempted all the other steps in the guide, but when I boot RB2 I get the message that the SD card cannot be used and is disabled. Any suggestions from here?

I done mine on rock band 3 in the end as rock band 2 can only use 2gb or maybe 4gb cards. But also make sure all of your ios are correct. Also when I done the true shop update it logged into main shop screen but with nothing to purchase did yours ? Also I'm running the game on ios 250.
Oh I did not know about the SD card limit. I tried that and now I have no SD card error, however, now the game just loads up and doesn't display any of the new songs.
I could try the USB loader way like you, but did you get all of your instruments working as well? That was my problem with USB loader
Okay solved! I ended up trying the usb loader method after updating using d2x, instruments would not work on 250 but on 249 they all connect and the SD card gave me no errors. Songs loaded up! Thanks for your help

Hello... I have an issue where I am getting checksum mismatches while trying to run BIG WAD's through wad2bin GUI. I can easily run SPLIT's, but BIG's do not work. Any ideas?
UPDATE...
I found my issue. I had already downloaded some SPLIT's in the group of the BIG WAD that I was trying to convert. That is where is the mismatch is happening. I will have to delete the individual BIN's of those songs to get it to work.

Normal message which you can ignore, RB3 will pickup the new audio if the bogus file is created correctly
