    Yes, I'm choosing the 'save' icon in the patch menu. And yes, I have the option to hide known file extensions turned off (though it doesn't matter, windows doesn't know what .nds is) I copied the 'flashcart fix' as is to a .txt and converted with ar2cht and cht2scc from supercard.cn to no avail.

    on my slot-1 card, it's root/games/layton/3049.nds and root/games/layton/3049.scc Does the name of the file matter? (in the pop-up menu, I chose enable patch, patch saver, enable cheat, patch speed) *Also, do I need to somehow add it to ndsinfo.dat?

    Err... from the supercard menu, you can choose gba union. Just put the gba on your slot-1 and the .nds, choose gba union, choose the gba rom, then load the .nds rom regularly. Did this for, umm... Final Fantasy A2 and worked like a charm.

    To Player77: Great advice, I never knew of WUFE. I moderately want to get Animal Crossing (waiting for a price drop or to see it appear in a cheap store/used store) and didn't know I could extract the IOS without running a full update.

    I only found this because I was searching for Animal Crossing (it appears midway through page 2) and I couldn't resist reading this thread to completion. I feel the best way to 'erase' it is to just swap it with a new disc and don't tell anyone...

    I've got to say, I'd love to use ubuntu or gentoo or any linux flavor, but, I've never gotten the damned things to work outside of virtualbox. On another note, I'm kind of stuck with xp because I need xp_ja to use many programs. Too many products don't allow you to install on non xp-32ja oses...

    I'll try that, but I mainly just use the slot-1, to use the slot-2 I have to load slot 1 and use it as a passkey to load slot 2, so it's easier to keep a copy of the slot 1 system on the sd card and just switch micro sds. For the sake of testing the program, I'll try on slot 2.
