I'm trying to get SMG2 to run on NeoGamma through a DVD-R and I'm getting a Black Screen. Only other burned disc I have is 3 Gamecube games on an identical DVD-R and that works flawlessly. My question is: What the hell is the problem here and how do I fix it?

Gamecube games use the MIOS (or cMIOS). Wii games use cIOS249 in neogamma. So I'd say that is probably the issue. What revision (and base IOS) do you have?

I may be wrong, but I think SMG2 works just fine with rev21 base IOS 56. So perhaps reinstalling it will help.

Unfortunately, I'm a total noob at wii modding, so what is this base ios 56 and how do I install it?

EDIT: Pretty sure I did that now, but it still won't load. Should I just re-burn the game at a different speed?

Bump. Still trying to solve this. If it can read the game ID but won't start, would simply burning a new disc help?
