Hacking help me test bannerbomb on 4.2

I can't get enough of a sample size on IRC, maybe gbatemp can help. This version is for 4.2 only, any region. I'm have absolutely no idea how consistently it will work, but I'd appreciate if you'd test it whether or not you already have homebrew.

For this version, instead of Data Management, you must use the SD menu.

Works on 4.0E and 4.2E, like I said on #HACKERCHANNEL.

Actually, they didn't even try to fix the actual exploit. The only change was that the size of banners in saved channels is now limited to 100 kilobytes. After several months, that's their "fix". Still, it means that the 400kish nop sled in bannerbomb can't fit anymore; I think the SD menu is somewhat more reliable than data management with respect to memory addresses, but not sure yet.

test on 4.0 and 4.1 any region aswell .. cause it should work on 4.x any region. It worked on 4.0E aswell so .. meh.

can confirm working on 4.1 and 4.2 both E loads HackMii 0.5 flawlessly

Worked for me on 4.1u. If I really have to I suppose I could update to 4.2 to test again and do a NAND restore afterwards.

4.1E I had already installed bootmii and latest DVDx HBchannel 0.5

but anyway this worked nicely on 4.1E.....your 'effin' great

just about to test on wii 4.1E but no boot2 bootmii possible
yes loads up dol (hackmii0.5) fine tooo

not updating as im not sure how its gonna affect my DLC

just shot next door then to try the neighbours Wii on 4.0 and worked fine

so looks like 4.0/4.1/4.2E are all a result

what does it do? [only vote if you're on 4.2]

It just freezes.

It freezes and shows a black exception screen.

It pops up a dialog, but doesn't load boot.elf.

It loads boot.elf properly.
